What's The Ideal Weight?
This post was submitted by TheThinCafe@xanga
I think everyone has an ideal weight, or a "perfect" weight. What's yours? Is there a reason for it?

My ideal weight is 110lbs and that's my goal because ideal weight for my 5'2' height is around 115lbs. xD
people get so caught up in numbers and do not take into account their bone mass or structure. it can be a bit dangerous.
I'm aiming for a healthy BMI, even though it's not entirely accurate. The range for my height is 114-148... I'm aiming for 148 for now, but we'll see how I feel about it when I get there. I guess 130 would be ideal, to be mid-range.
I should be about 140-150 lbs due to my 5'6" height, but I actually weigh about 120. No matter how much I try, I can gain more than 10 lbs. Hahahaha.
i want 155-160 pure muscles.
I think the range for my height is 115-150. My personal ideal would probably be between 125-130, because my bone structure is on the small side (my wrists are barely 6" around and my hips are barely over a foot across).
@laytexduckie@xanga - Actually, just by your height, you are in a good range. You're the same height as me.
@quiet_strength@revelife - word.
my weight is 105, a bit underweigh for someone whose 18 and 5'9'' but i'm extremely healthy.
x Aim.i am 5'10, which means my ideal weight is 139-173, according to a health calculator. i'm aiming for 135, since i am a ballet dancer. currently i'm somewhere between 145-150.
my GW is 85. i'm 5'1" and about 97-99 as of now.
@mileyfan08@xanga - Cooooooooooooooooool. Hahahaha.
My ideal is somewhere between 130 and 135.
I can go up to about 143 without feeling fat.
But I'm currently at 150.
I'm 5'5.5
Inches, most importantly health, and *occasionally* a clothing size, but mostly how you *feel* are much better represenations.
**Sigh...120-130**
I'm 5'4''. I am 105 lbs currently, but have a pretty small frame/build, so i want to be 100. I would like to be more muscular and lithe and have a dancer's build.
Im at 134
Its about watching the BMI (Body Mass Index). This compares your height to your weight and determines if that is a healthy place to be. Heres a link to determine yours! :D

I'm pushing for 115.
I'm about 5'4, and a little over 135 at my worst and the last time I checked. (I haven't even stepped on a scale in over 3 months). I know that for my height, I'm a little bit heavy, but I'm working hard.
And I'm also very busty for my frame, so that adds to it too. I'd really would like to knock of a cup size or two. *sigh*
No more than 160, no less than 140. Because that's where I'm happy with how I look, and at my optimal strength.
I don't weigh myself more than once every two years lol. We don't own a scale.
But my average weight tends to be between 98 and 110 pounds. I'm only five feet tall and a little thing, so it's not like I'm a skeleton like most girls'd probably be if they were that light.
I only get to 110 when I'm getting enough exercise and have decent muscle mass, but anyways. I don't keep track.
I'm 5'4" and around 120 pounds. My perfect weight would be around 100 pounds.
my BMI & cholesterol are too high, so I need to get thin for my health boo...
I think I need to get back down to around 115-122lbs to keep my cholesterol down :(
@la_faerie_joyeuse@xanga - I am about the same height, but at 162lbs now. I would like to be around 135lbs too, but at this point I'll be happy to get at 140lbs.
According to iVillage and NIH, my ideal range for my height (5'-5") is generally between 127 and 141 lbs. I agree with this... I would love to get back down to 140lbs, but 130-135 is best.
I'm 5'3" and about 110 pounds and my ideal weight would be around 100-105 pounds.
bmi is a bit airy fairy cuz you could be pure muscle yet have a bmi of 29 and be considered obese.
more important is your body fat%.. girls should be around 12% and men perhaps as low as 8%.. depends how athletic you are!!
normal weight scales are very decieving! i havn't lost any 'weight' but my fat % has gone down to 8% and i am way more toned.
my ideal weight is 135 lbs though still high for my height of 5 flat,I'll take it.Im currently 100 lbs away from my ideal weight.
