Mr. FishFor several years now, I've had the exquisite talent of making wet farting noises with my eye. I've asked a couple of doctors about it, and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. One even said it must be fun to have. Obviously he's never felt the embarrassment of rubbing his eye in a public place, only to have the people around him think he's passing gas.
It's an odd feeling, having air trapped behind your eye. There has to be something wrong with the inner workings of my eye socket, but I have yet to find out what it is.
It's only my left eye that "sharts", and it only does it on occasion. I notice it more after I've been running or lifting weights.
Do you think that's a health concern or something quirky? Should I go see another doctor? Is there something you can do that's quirky yet borderline gross?

It really amps up my attractiveness.
HAHAHA!!!! I was a little disgusted the first time I saw this vid, but now I think its kinda funny.
Poor Sam =(
This happens to me aswell. Its quite odd.
Wow. Just...wow.
that's sick. why is this relevant to health? it's just a bizarre thing you were born with. should i write an entry about how my pinky is double jointed? would that end up as an front page entry on healthkicker?
I'm not a doctor or anything, but I'd say that this is actually quite common. A few of my friends throughout my life (they've come and gone by now) have had this happen to them. But hey, it never hurts to get a second [doctor's] opinion.
@shes_lump@xanga - He's asking whether he should be concerned with the effect it's having on his eyeball. Of course it belongs here. If you don't have something respectful to post, don't post at all.
So many eye farts....
yeah this happens to me randomly. lol
You have an artificial cyborg eye inplanted by ETs during your UFO abduction!
Heh heh.
Something to do with your eye socket perhaps. Better have it scan.
Oh, that's so cool. :) I'm sure you don't think so, though.
Anyway, I doubt it's a bad thing. Just a tad embarrassing.
odd, just odd, yet fitting :D
Considering I'm not a professional doctor or anything...let alone up close to you violating your face with my rubber-gloved hands or asking you to bend over and cough...I think I have one idea...
You know how those guys can squirt milk out of their eyes? What's happening is that there is this hole on in the section close to your nose called the lacrimal duct which essentially is the special tunnel leading from your eyes and into your nose. So what these guys do is snort milk up their noise...plug up all the openings except for one lacrimal duct opening...and BAM!...a new form of entertainment...
For you...I'm guessing what's happening is that air is constantly being brought up through this duct and filling up under your eye and every time you press upon your eye...a fart noise would occur (kind of like a whoopy cushion)...
Kind of a cool side note...you know how you cry (okay...maybe not you personally but other people)...and as they're crying a lot of snot builds up and starts pouring out of their nostrils? Well that snot's not all snot but actually tears from your eyes flowing down the lacrimal duct and coming out of your nose...
Hope that helped (or at least gave you some cool trivia to score with the ladies with)...
when i am having a bad allergy day and blow my nose alot toward the end of the day when i blow my nose i have snot come out my tear duct.
My eye makes loud noises too when I rub it. Mine squeeks though. Very loudly. SQUEEK SQUEEK SQUEEK.
I just say I'm cleaning my eye.
I wonder if your eyes are not producing enough mucous, so only air is coming through? You could try adding more Omega-3 fats into your food, it helps produce eye fat/mucous that you need. Just a suggestion.
@rs5972@xanga - Thanks, I'll get a second opinion the next time I'm at the eye doc's. It doesn't squeak all the time, so hopefully I can squeak it up for the doc. A couple of times I've tried and it doesn't squeak. At least I have video proof now!
That ain't NOTHIN' compared to my medical mystery!
Actually that happens to me from time to time. My boyfriend (just the one eye) has it happens ALL the time. It's pretty gross but to hear that someone else has it makes me feel that it's more common.
awww....poor eye.
i've had this happen to me too. i guess just never thought much about it. maybe i thought it was normal. obviously, judging by the comments this post has recieved, it is not. who knew...
it happens when you dont have enough lubricant (tears).. try blinking more. i have it from time to time... i end up pulling my eyelid to seperate from touching the eye then place it back so it doesnt trap air.. hehe sounds gross but its just me adjusting my eyelid..
edit: omg thats prety loud... hehe mine's not that loud..
That's disgusting in an awesome way!! I can pop my shoulders out of place, and my arm kinda just hangs there. Lol, its pretty cool when I wanna freak somebody out.
