Nope. I'm content with just having it relatively flat. :)
However, my roommate freshman year was very intense. She had rooouuughh abs, and worked out so much that, no joke, she got that "man-v" by her waist/hip bones.... you know that muscular kinda v shape there guys get when they work out a ton. haha. but SHE got it. Weiiird.
i like my stomach kind of gooey.
Yup, I got them but then I just got to lazy.
I only got them though because in soccer we did a bunch of ab stuff.
yes. the first time i added interval sprints 3 times a week to my regular weight lifting routine and after about 6 weeks the 6 pack had arrived. the next time i brought out the cuts, i just cleaned up my diet by eliminating junk foods on all but 1 day a week. clean eating for 6 days plus 1 day a week of sweets and treats equals amped up metabolism and ripped 6 pack after about 2 months.
how about just abs ? - not rock solid abs - not that hard*
Working on it....i have two, anyone wanna donate the other 4?
XD I'm going for it atm :D
No.
ugh. i tried. and i'm going to try again, it's just hard because it's not easy. hah, and whenever someone goes through adversity, it's up to their will to continue, and i guess i don't have the will!
so for the 09, i will have the will.
Great abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. What many people don't realize is that you cannot get a six pack unless you create a calorie deficit. We all have six packs, some of us just have more fat on our omentums (belly) than others. While a strong core is important (most back injuries occur as a result of abs that are too weak) it is not possible to "spot reduce" your abs. Also, I hate to say this, but ladies will always have a more difficult time achieving this than men.
@xRunningtheracex@xanga - Sadly, I agree. I dance, and have a strong core, but being a woman it IS harder to get the 6pack. I'm working on it, but any advice is welcomed.
I never really bother trying to do it intentionally --I have a fast metabolism (oh please dont' let it forsake me!) so I'm always fairly thin, but my tummy is usually the soft kind of thin. When I'm doing taekwondo though, I usually end up with decent abs after a few months. Not a 6-pack though.
yes I did. I went to ab classes for 6 weeks. it hurt ,but the results are great !
I'd like a decent looking stomach one day, but I don't want a 6 pack. Its my personal opinion that overly defined abs on a girl looks a little odd.
this was a great post! and it seems that those people that did work on their abs didn't have to spend that much time doing it!
arghh, i can't even get the basics, let alone get stronger abs. all i always end up with is a lump of stomach muscles bulging out, un-chiseled and all. asdlkjdsf;lkasd. i am definitely doing it wrong. anyone with recommendations to any exercise which helps strengthen and build up the abs muscles is greatly appreciated.
