How I Lost Almost 90 Pounds in a Year and a Half
I burned more calories than I consumed. I stopped eating so much crap, got my ass off the couch and moved around in a quick fashion for an extended period of time.
Rinse, lather and repeat.
Sweet fancy Moses on a cupcake, what a concept.
Have you ever tried this revolutionary new weight loss technique? If so, why do you think it succeeded? If not, why do you lack common sense on basic principles of caloric intake and output?

Wow, that's fucking amazing.
Just, wow.
If only everyone could have common sense!
Eat less, move around more. Gotta love it.
Eating when I am hungry.
That's my secret! And if I'm lazy for a day I just eat less calories. So simple. =)
God, what a waste of a post. Seriously.
YEAH, we get it. We're lazy fat-asses. But did you ever stop to think about how the biggest obstacle in weight loss is not about laziness, but is more about MOTIVATION? What motivated you? What kept you going when you were burnt out? What was the hardest time period? What was the best?
@TakingxOverxMe@xanga - Clearly you are a dumb patronizing bitch who needs to get off xanga and acquire a life.
i dont think this was a waste of a post.
more people need to get some common sense instead of buying their hoodia and what not
NONSENSE..........
anyway, uhh i lose weight by eating everything i want in moderation. Like instead of eating the entire box of ho hos or three slices of pie, i will eat like two ho hos and one slice of pie.
the results are amazing.
haha
I have lost 40 lbs in the past six months or so, but it's an on again off again bit.
For a lot of people, what you described will work. But I don't think everyone who is heavier is necessarily lazy or lacks common sense.
@howmanycheers@xanga - I was agreeing with this post, by the way. It's my favorite post on Healthkicker so far.
I just think it's hilarious that people are like "ZOMG I do 85785 crazy diets and none of them work?! Whatever shall I do? Why can't I lose weight?!"
It's kind of obvious. Common sense.
methodElevated just so happened to point this out with her amazing post.
easy because we want to eat everything and kick back. and other diets claim to allow a person to do that.
um you don't have to be rude about what you were able to do so seemingly easily and some struggle and struggle to lose just a little bit. i agree, a lot of people complain about their weight but never change anything...but some people don't have the will or means no matter how well intentioned they are. it is no cause for ridicule, but perhaps instruction and encouragement.
dude yea. people are always tryingn to complicate it but it really is as simple as that. thank you for posting this haha
To loose a pound of fat you need to burn 3500cals....get burning fat asses!!!! *Includes myself!!*
Thank you! Why can't people just realize it's as simple as that?!?!?!
Inspiring.. haha!
If not, why do you lack common sense on basic principles of caloric intake and output?
Does losing weight earn you the right to be rude? You might as well have asked, "Why are you stupid?" Honestly... what sort of answers did you expect to get?
I've learned this concept as well. It's excellent! Thanks for the reminder. It can never hurt for a little logistics to intervene.... saves a ton of money as well..... no need to buy alli or join weight watches... seriously, running everyday, going to a gym 4-5 times a week. Pure genious.
@LadyLibellule@xanga - Uhm, this isn't rudeness. It's common sense. The majority of overweight people are lazy. I would catergorize myself in this from time to time. And it's true, a lot of people who are overweight don't understand this concept. Go down south... you'll see what I mean.
@howmanycheers@xanga - This can be interpreted as motivation in of itself. Sometimes people need a little smack in the face to say, "Where have I been? How could I have overlooked this all the time?" Then go on with their lives and protrude results from a wake-up call. Sometimes a quick, hard-loving could help....
@ultravioletskies08@xanga - It is common sense, but the way it was phrased was rude. Plus, it was a question that's not answerable.
@john@xanga - ditto, what he said.
Somehow I bet it involved a little bit more than that. Were you happy having 90 extra pounds on you and then all of a sudden decided to lose weight? Or were you already trying to diet or not gain weight before hand? Or maybe there was a medical reason you gained weight? Who knows, you don't share very much in the post. Breaking it down to the simplest level then yes, all you have to do is burn more calories than you take in. But seeing as how not all of us are such simple beings, sometimes it takes more than that.
i ate about half as much as i used to, dropped the weight, and kept it off. somehow...
and by "half as much" i mean people were worried about me. i dropped 10 pounds in about a year, and even though i've gone back to eating how i used to, i still haven't gained it back...
