Healthkicker Alright we have the burgers ready to go for our little experiment. The following pictures are of the two burgers. One of them is on my desk in the bag you see pictured, the other is in different bag in the fridge.
I didn’t get any toppings on them (ketchup, onions or pickles), so there won’t be any other factor besides the temperature, which is about 65-70 degress F.
I’ll keep updates on it every few days. If my desk starts smelling funky, I’ll know this experiment is half over.
If this burger still looks okay after two weeks, I will vow to never touch another burger from McDonald’s again.
Would you eat another McDonald’s burger if this one still looks okay after two weeks? You must love the McDonald’s burger if you do.

i would never eat a McDonald's burger if it does last for two weeks. i wouldn't eat a McDonald's burger if it lasted more than 3 days.
Haha... awesome. I was hoping someone would try this.
I wouldn't eat a McDonald's burger anyway. I don't eat meat. But I'm still interested to see what happens to the burger.
If it looks okay after two weeks, are you going to eat it?
I've never had a McDonald's burger, never intended on ever eating one either -- but if it still looks OK in 2 weeks then it'll make me vow never to touch one as well (unless, you know, it's the end of the world and they're the only things that're still good).
I have never had a McDonald burger, I am more of a chicken nuggets person if I had to eat fast food for this outlet.
I prefer burgers from our local butchers.
I don't eat hamburgers or ground beef at all. Tastes disgusting to me!
No, because I'm a vegetarian.
And I probably consumed a whole cattle ranch in McDonald's burgers during my childhood.
i stopped eating at mcdonalds in grade school. i only go there for soft serve ice cream!
I wouldn't touch a McDonald's burger whether it lasted two hours or two weeks. Disgusting either way.
I would like to see how the other fast food joints stack up though. Arby's, Hardees, and Wendy's in particular.
Also, didn't Supersize Me already do this?
Would I eat the two week-old burger, or any McDonald's burger in general?
Two weeks, absolutely not. But in general, I treat McDonald's like any other food. I eat it. If anything I'd keep it for a day or two in the fridge, but no more than that, because I'd have eaten it by then so I wouldn't have to throw it away.
I rarely eat McDonald's burgers anyway.
I wouldn't got as far as saying I loved them, but this won't deter me from from eating them. If people only knew half the crap they ate. Mcdonalds is the least of their worries.
I rarely ever eat burgers. If I do, I make them fresh at home. It's not even hard to do!
Not in two weeks, not ever. That burger already looks like crap.
@LadyLibellule@xanga - I don't know yet, there would have to be a bet on the line. But I already said I wouldn't eat McDonald's if that thing is still alive and kicking
I'm a vegetarian, so I wouldn't eat it at all, but this reminds me of a portion of SuperSize Me. Is that where this idea came from?
To be fair, you should really do experiments with all fast food chains. It's not just McDonald's.
If the one sitting on your desk hasn't gone bad after two weeks I will probably never eat another burger from McDonalds. I'd like to say never but alcohol does funny things to my thinking.
@ican__doit@xanga - actually we had a few users comment on this blog and wanted someone to try it. I figured why not do it for Healthkicker right? But yeah it was on Supersize me
@Cashew - thats exactly what I said. If its still good in 2 weeks, I am not eating McDonalds again. I hope my desk doesn't end up with a hole the size of that burger or any stinky smells
@NGUYENerxx@xanga - Yup you're right and we'll try some other things soon. I'm thinking of doing something maybe for white castle since I hear so many crazy things about them and I tried to eat their burgers one time. Not a good experience.
@kash - In all reality, it probably should start smelling a little funky. Atleast we'll know it's atleast partially real beef then.
Wow. You mean they got your order right and actually gave you two burgers without anything on them? Impressive. If I ordered a burger without anything on it I'd expect to get two buns, and that's it.
i only eat Wendys burgers and In &Out, ehhe
Haha, I think I'm the only one that'll still eat it. If it's good there and then, then there's no problem. I've had maccas once every week and I don't feel like I'm that messed up ... yet.
