The New York Times ran this story in their health section, titled the “High Price of Cheap Eats” The list of five unhealthiest fast food items are below.
- Jack in the Box’s junior bacon cheeseburger topped the list as the worst offender. The burger costs just one dollar but is packed with 23 grams of fat, including 8 grams of saturated fat, 55 milligrams of cholesterol and 860 milligrams of sodium and just one gram of fiber.
- In second-worst place, the 89-cent Taco Bell cheesy double beef burrito, with 460 calories, 20 grams of fat and a whopping 1,620 milligrams of sodium.
- In third-worst place was the one-dollar Burger King breakfast sausage biscuit, with 27 grams of fat, including 15 grams of saturated fat and over 1,000 milligrams of sodium.
- Fourth worst went to the one-dollar McDonald’s McDouble, which contains 19 grams of fat and 65 milligrams of cholesterol.
- Last, and least-worst, was the Wendy’s junior bacon cheeseburger, for $1.53, with 310 calories and 16 grams of fat.
Does this make you think twice about eating these items? How often do you have these fast food items?

Put in calorie amounts for the others, pl0x.
I'd like to see the calorie content for all of them.
Never. Those are gross.
not surprising, really. Fast food is so gross.
Doesn't Jack In the Box have a burger that has 10,000 calories? Anyways I'm not too shocked at the items that made the list. They may be affordible, but their unhealthy.
I never eat those.
I'm not surprised something from Jack in the Box topped the list, though. I think I ate there once as a kid (and then my parents deemed its food too greasy for human consumption).
Ew. I rarely eat fast food, and I've never had any of those items before.
Not surprised either. But the other day I compared the nutrition facts between Friendly's and McDonald. Majority of McDonald's stuff is healthier which I found pretty surprising.
I've never had any of the above, actually.
Well, theres a reason why people eat fast food you know, it's cheap.
If it didnt cost so much to eat healthy I know plenty of people who would start eating healthier.
despise fast food
why is everyone so worried about calories? look at the amount of fat?! jebus save us!
@TheBigSeige@xanga - perfectly said
Wow.

OMGSH i'm so sad now.. jack in the box's junior bacon cheeseburger is tooo deliciousssssss
i dont really care. i love fast food, and until im rich enough to keep a stocked fridge, ill probably be eating it for a while
Fast food makes me sick to my stomach, so I never have it. The only exception is Subway and occassionaly (like once a quarter) I might have some Arby's.

Eh.. I don't eat that shit anyway. =]
I've never had ANY of those items in my life. Now I know not to, haha. Though the calories in the wendy's burger aren't that bad..
Don't forget the supposedly healthy appetizer from Kelsey's, the squash dish thing. I forget what it is called, but it's like a dip and they did a study on CBC and found that it has waaaay too many carbs/calories for an appetizer.
I wish I could find the link to that show.
It's the same one that exposed the fact that "Made in Canada" means jack. It could have just been the box that was made in Canada, and not even the product, or we may have added the final salt or something.
but i like the wendys junior bacon cheeseburger :] lol.
x I'm a stick, though i am a bit health conscious when it comes to eating overboard. The Taco Bell cheesy double beef burrito is delicious but i don't have it that often
oy all this is making me sick just thinking about it!

i've never eaten any of those items. XP
