One of my college professors once said, “Sex, food and exercise all go hand in hand, which is why we go out to eat dinner before going back to the room to get it on.”
I thought about that line for a few days. It had to be true, I mean food in its own right is an aphrodisiac and if we’re going to be “exercising” then we need some fuel right?
But I was still skeptical about the correlation between food and sex. I didn’t even consider sex to be an exercise. I was obviously proven wrong with comments on this post.
The following week, he showed us the movie, Tampopo, which had a scene of a couple “sharing” an egg yolk:
The end of the scene, the bursting egg yolk dripping down the girls face, in some sense signifies an orgasm. So there was a connection between the two, although an egg yolk hardly qualifies as food.
Not to be outdone, George Costanza from Seinfeld, tried to do what most men would never attempt; eat, watch TV, and get a workout during sex:
After watching the movie and then George’s attempt, I realized the importance of our mouth when it comes to sex and food. It plays an integral role in our food and sexual endeavors.
She’s luring James Van Der Beek with whip cream. She could have came out naked and it would have been fine but chose to add a snack he can lick off (even though he didn't go for it).
Up until then, I never really thought about the correlation between food and sex. It’s not something you really sit and think much about until someone brings it to your attention.
Do you agree with my professor’s assessment; food, sex and exercise all go hand in hand? Healthkicker.com
I suppose they do have a connection with one another. Sex and "some food" goes hand in hand.. I don't want to make out with a girl that has aged cheese breath.
I always see sex and food together too... like... 112's song "Peaches and Cream"
some foods are 'sexy' and some foods are aphrodisiacs. some foods should probably stay out of the bedroom, though! :)
I use "sex" as an "exercise" to work away all the "food" I ate before. That's I see it.
Although, some foods are aphrodisiacs and often symbolize sex as you have already mention. A banana, for example, resembles the man's penis because of its phallic shape. :)
Wow, I'm amazed your professor showed you Tampopo it's such an obscure movie LOL what class was it for?
That Tampopo scene is gonna give me night mares for weeks. No joke.
You want more significance from that film? The oyster part: Oysters have long been seen as an aphrodisiac. The blood that he drips on the oyster while eating it from her hand signifies the blood that is traditionally associated with losing one's virginity. Ta-Da! If you weren't grossed out enough!
And yes, I agree with your prof. It's nothing new.
the food and exercise do. sex is unrelated. the closest relationship i can make between the three is that if you exercise and dont eat to much you have better sex. not eating too much maintains healthy body weight. exercising makes you more fit to have sex and makes you look more desirable to give you a better variety options for which partner you wish to sleep with. haha
Think about it from an evolutionary perspective. Sex has its rewards, because we need to reproduce. Food has its rewards, because we need to live long enough to reproduce. Food and sex stimulate some of the same pleasure centers in the brain. So no wonder.
That egg yolk thing was really gross, not gonna lie.
Also I don't know if food and sex always go hand in hand, because if you eat a giant meal you definately aren't feeling like having sex anytime soon.
i can see how taht goes.
I think it goes hand in hand but not in this sense. Food is essential to life, so having it is security. Men provide this security to women, that's why we buy the meals: to exemplify that it's understood the woman will be taken care of in the future. As far as exercise and sex are concerned, you'd be better off hitting the treadmill unless you're doing a lot of orgies. Think about the amount of sex you'd have to have to burn 1000 calories? Wow. Exercise is important though, because it's about virility and how healthy you are. That's why people tend to not want to date couch potatoes, guy or girl. So that's it for me then.
Totally agree~ Sex is one type of exercise, maybe one of the most popular one on Earth hahahahaha... XD~
@nolan_kun@xanga - WOW, you know that sex is really energy consuming, right? Because it also messes with your mind a lot... And makes you feel feverish...

@laytexduckie@xanga - Sausage as well...
@nowayout001@xanga - Haha . . . . "meat."
dude, i almost throw up watching that eggyolk scene. i will never eat an eggyolk again in my life, if i can help it.
Food can definately be sexual. My boyfriend and I don't have sex, but we like to eat food off of each other, and it's just as stimulating to me.
It's a good substitute (for now).
