In today’s present society, obesity has become a very big issue. Being slim or fit is not only a matter of looking good but being healthy as well. That is why many diet fanatics are rediscovering the fastest ways to achieve a good physique.
The obese population is the specific sector that is into weight loss. Aside from losing those unnecessary pounds, they wanted to lose them real fast.
Here are some general tips for you to achieve rapid weight loss through diet:
1. Go for the greens! Yes, eating your usual daily intake of fruits and veggies most especially the green and leafy vegetables is a good start in losing weight. Weight loss will only commence if you take in foods that make you healthy as well. These are not just any kind of food but a well balanced diet of foods packed with the essential vitamins and minerals.
2. Have a high fiber diet. In connection to the first tip aforementioned, fiber rich foods are composed of cereals and the fruits or vegetables family. Fiber is a good diet in the sense that it aids in the digestion process. With good digestion, you can have a rapid weight loss if coupled by the correctly prescribed diets. Aside from the benefits of weight loss, you can avoid certain fatal conditions such as colon cancers if you increase your daily intake of high fiber foods.
3. Eat from a variety of food choices. Obese people usually become fat because they were stuck in eating their favorite unhealthy foods that are rich in oil and fat. A good advice to weight loss is to have a catchy diet composed of a number of food groups. Aside from the enjoyment that one can get in eating from a variety of foods, you will also do yourself a favor because this strategy helps in reducing the possibility of allergies.
4. Keep yourself hydrated! Water therapy is one of the best approaches to weight loss. Water really helps in flushing out the impurities from your system and gives you a full sensation especially in between meals. With the appropriate water intake, you will tend to hasten the overall digestive processes. It is recommended that you drink about 8 to 10 8 oz glasses of water a day. Nevertheless, it must be ruled out that water does not make a person obese.
5. Fortify your proteins. By having a well balanced protein diet everyday, your body will have enough building properties to help build and rebuild muscles. Take note that you must only take in the lean types of protein and avoid those that are full of fat because the latter can make you obese. It is also remarkable to denote that there are alternative plant sources of protein that may prove to be healthier than the animal sources, which can perform a speedier weight loss.
6. Control your sugar and fat intake. A diet that includes the appropriate sugar and fat content is advisable. Totally eliminating them form your diet may prove to be unhealthy. Just keep it at a minimum and avoid the trans-fats and saturated fats. If you follow this tip, you are in for a rapid weight loss program.
Always remember that the above mentioned tips are only the general guidelines in rapid weight loss. Observing only one of the tips may not give you the desirable effect you wished for. So next time, incorporate all of these tips in your diet so that you can experience weight loss fast.

good info but isn't most of this a little obvious? :P
Just a suggestion: For people that are not very familiar with food rich in proteins and fiber and the like, you could give examples of food underneath each point so that even a clueless person can start refining their eating habits.
yes and/or duh....
i think everyone knows how to lose weight. it's the fact that people don't want to push themselves and motivate themselves to lose weight and eat healthy.
Read the book Eat To Live by Dr Fuhrman MD.
It's not a diet, diets fail, it's a healthy way to eat! Reduce and eliminate disease, and live a long healthy life!!
cool
great!
This isn't new... is it?
Do people have a harder time figuring out how to get in shape or actually doing it?
I think its harder to know how. I used to think the only way to get in shape was to starve and run. I went to the gym and saw people running. But I could never run. My body wasn't ready for that. So I never did it. I also didn't have the resolve to ignore my hunger. So I ate.
But now I know what I can eat to control my hunger and still be healthy, and I know how to workout in a way that works for me. And I do it. =)
"Weight loss methods" are never new.
@OhItzJustMe@xanga - I'm going to look this up now! As soon as I have some money in the bank, I'm going to purchase it. Thanks!
Mm, yes, healthy is the lovely way. Very informative post. Many people have a harder time actually abiding by these rules. The simple steps to easy weight loss have been around for a long time, but becoming healthy is a lifestyle change. It can't happen overnight, and changing your present lifestyle can be harder than it seems because you need to learn to balance what you intake and start eating foods that are more appropriate for you. It's a simple set of rules, but it's hard to adjust to them. Many people assume that if they stay strict right from the beginning they'll succeed. Not many have this willpower, so when it fails they don't see results, and give up. But once you take on these healthier choices one day at a time, learning how to incorporate them into your life, it'll definitely be worth it.
I'd say both.
You need some drive and motivation to think of a plan, but then actually DO it. Some people do great for the first, but then drop out after trying for about a week. It's all about your determination: if you want it, you'll achieve it.
@Annalyn04@xanga - Here is the link to his site, you can read quite a bit on there about it. Also he has his own youtube channel.

@Annalyn04@xanga - Oh one other thing.. you can get the book on Amazon for like 8 bucks used :)
Nothing new here, really.
But, one must also realize they should not take a diet to the extremes, either. That can be unhealthy as well...
@OhItzJustMe@xanga - Haha!! I noticed that! Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it!
nothing on exercising? lol.
aren't we supposed to haf a good healthy diet as above & combine it wif regular exercise?
Actually doing it. But I follow most of those now...anyway. But yeah, no one will get anywhere without exercise. You should mention 1 hour of cardio each day for 6 days a week.
yeah the high fiber is very true
I do all these things anyhow. I can't lose a pound. I even go to the gym regularly. I think your article does not live up to it's title and only works for very heavy individuals.
@zubes5806@xanga - I need to comment here. In many instances it is not just about motivation and will power. I see many patients every week that do all the right things and are just stuck. The need a true physiologic and metabolic evaluation, review, and treatment to be able to lose body fat and improve health.

@zretrareo27@xanga - You need to find a physician who knows how to evaluate you from a full metabolic perspective. Pre-hypothyroid, pre-diabetes, low testosterone levels, hormone imbalances are just a few reasons why individuals are "stuck' no matter how hard they try.

@DrG - and sometimes they need the motivation to seek that treatment. life, in general, is about how much motivates you to actually do what you need to do.
