  • Is Sweating Disgusting?




    Whenever I sweat, women find it extremely unnattractive, especially when it's not playing sports (hot summer day, while stuck in the train station), but for some reason guys still think a girl is hot even if she's sweating.

    Actually she might seem hotter if she's sweating.

    I have never had a guy consider me attractive when I sweat. Hot perhaps temperature wise, but not hot as in attractive. XD


    I don't think guys are digusting when they sweat. I mean, it happens. No big deal. Personally, I think sweating FEELS gross when it's me, but if other people sweat it doesn't bother me.

    I'm hot when I sweat. Because literally.. the temperature in my body is raised. But whatever, I sweat when I exercise or when it is hot out.. big deal. It's a part of being human.

    agreeeed with the above girl. when i sweat, i mean i sweat and my hair curls and all that nasty jazz but i think its normal if im getting a good workout i'm not just sweating for reason!

    Well, pit stains are not hot on anyone, male or female.  Perhaps it's because men have more body hair, which means more surface area for bacteria to die on, which means more body odor after the same period of time?

    Some of my friends like sweaty men though.  Fresh sweat is not as gross as old sweat, which starts to smell bad .

    sweating is only disgusting if you don't wash it off before bacteria starts to collect and it begins to smell bad.  If it were considered disgusting, nobody would ever have sex in the summer.

    I think it comes down to one basic fact of human sexuality.  Men like it a little dirtier than women.  How many women would *really* just fall into bed without at least running some mouthwash across the pearly whites?  Not many, I'll bet.  We like to shower, shave and primp.  For some, it's even a necessary part of the arousal process.


    Men, on the other hand, are perfectly OK with a woman who's 8 hours from her last shower. 
    I'm sure that's not true in *every* case but  . . .

    it is a necessary evil, and women are not hot when they sweat.  they look just as disgusting and smelly as men.

    Sweating is natural.

    That's not to say I wouldn't be a little disgusted by a sweaty, smelly guy... but the smell would bother me more than the actual sweat.

    You can sweat but not smell, and smell but not sweat.  Yeah, being sweaty can be pretty hot, depending on how you got there.  Post coital nastiness can be pretty sexy!

    Smelling nasty, though...  Yuck.

    My guy fren call it " Guy Smell"
    but just dun go back room then slp for whole day
    tat really smelly, not guy smell anymore

    After sweating, take a shower, then is ok...
    Dun keep for the sweating more than one and half hour
    that will turn to disgusting ad...

    Sweating isn't so bad. But the smell that goes with it is .. ick. Especially if the sweat smell is mixed with deoderant smell. *shudder*

    there's no absolute answer to this question, its all a matter of opinion.  in the summer when i'm mowing the lawn with my shirt off and i'm sweating like mad, my girlfriend thinks that is extremely sexy.  but when my girlfriend is sweating, unless it after a workout or sex, i don't think its hot... and she's gorgeous.

    I tend to sweat a lot in the Summer if we go to warm countries,  in Greece I was always sweating,  and drank a lot of liquids.


    Even in the United Kingdom if it a hot stuffy night I sweat when I am trying to get to sleep.


    I take more showers and baths when I sweat.

    I figure there are a few factors at play, actually, because there are women who don't think guys are disgusting when they sweat. Like someone has already said, you can smell bad without sweating, and you can sweat without smelling bad. If the guy was doing some intense workout to get sweaty, but he didn't smell bad, I'm sure a good amount of women would consider him sexy.

    I don't think the men who think of sweating women as sexy imagine her smelling bad. I think women are prone to think guys are going to smell bad when they're sweating.

    Then there are, of course, people who have an aversion to sweat in general.

    *sighs* IMO, regardless of gender sweat is only gross when you start to smell due to your perspiration mixing with the bacteria of your environment.


    Elsewise, it's just sweat and no big deal. "HOT" is a subjective thing, and varies from individual to individual xD

    I think sweating looks hot in both men and women as long as you don't touch the sweats. Yeah...it's kinda nasty. It's like saliva...

    Well, personally I think it depends on the package - an attractive, fit guy sweating isn't so bad - if he's shirtless. Its the marks on the clothes that I find unattractive. As for women sweating...I find I get unusual amounts of male attention at the gym when I'm working hard and sweating - the time I personally feel most disgusting and least sexy - but they seem more drawn to me when I'm sweating. I don't understand it. But hey, I'll take the compliment.
