I Don't Want To Lose My Breasts But Still Want To Get In Shape
I just finished watching this show called "The Last Ten Pounds." There were two ladies who worked out and altered their diets to lose ten pounds.I'm starting a diet myself and I want to start working out. But I have one problem: my breasts.
On the show one of the ladies lost quite a few inches around her belly, but she lost almost 5 inches on her chest!
Now I really want to get in shape but I'm really satisfied with the size of my chest and I don't want to shrink it.
Does anyone know what workouts I can do that will help me get in shape without shrinking my breasts?

I'm not sure if there is any possible way, but in my opinion I guess you should work out everywhere but your chest area? That's what I am guessing would work. :]]
That's what happened to me! When I lost weight, before I had my son, I lost most of my breasts first. My husband was sad and so was I lol
Idk what to do either ,I wanna see what people say on here!
Not really. Your body type will be what it is. You can definitely tone up specific areas more by working out mainly only those. However, if you are overall just trying to lose weight, it will come off from all around. Unless you naturally have the body type that stores fat in the breasts, they are going to shrink if you lose much weight.
There's nothing you can do about it. you're better off being healthy with smaller boobs than overweight with big boobs.
I'm naturally a double D and a) they're not all their cracked up to be b) that means that's what size they are when I'm in shape. if you naturally have larger breasts they will still be larger when you lose the weight. you only lose fat when you exercise, not actual breast tissue
There is no such thing as "spot reducing". You will lose weight on the areas of fat on your body. You can't stop a certain area from losing, or make an area lose.
Unfortunately the first place I lost my weight was my breasts, however, they match my new fit body now. They didn't continue to shrink the whole time, just when I first started working out because I was losing body fat. My body stabilized out on its own later on. Just what happened with my body. I think that exercise is way too important. I would rather be fit with smaller breasts, than overweight with larger breasts.
Yeah. I lost thirty pounds and I went down a cup size. It's just where our fat is stored and it always seems to be the first place to go. Sorry.
That won't work. When your fat goes away, it won't exclude one area.
yeah, i lost 20 lbs and definitely say a reduction in my breast size...i'm slowly loving them again, lol...but like many people have said, it's better to be healthy, right? ^_^
Quit being vain and just get over it. Either have boobs and be out of shape, or lose them and be healthy for many years to come.
I recently lost close to 40 pounds and also have large boobs. I was actually hoping I would lose some boob-age, but I didn't. You said the ladies lost 5 inches in their chest, but chest measurements are taken around your whole chest, not just your boobs. I haven't seen any change in the size of my boobs, in fact, they're perkier from building the muscles in my chest- so don't avoid these exercises out of fear of losing size. I've gone down in band size, which means I've actually had to go up a cup size, from a D to a double D. But other girls I know lose weight here first. I guess it just depends on how you're programmed. My chest size is definitely determined by my genes, not my weight.
it depends on your body's make up but if you ask me you're not going to find any exercise that isn't going to decrease your breast size considering its fat there and thats what is targeted when you exercise. geez, you have nothing to worry about, im a cross inbetween 32AA and 32A and that was even before i started to run, with about 3/4of a year into my whole running thing my boobs have shrunk - whatever, be healthy and love yourself
Not really sure since I heard your chest is where it leaves first. :/
Im worried that since my boobs are so large that after loosing the weight my chest might get saggy. Thankfully my mom said she's pay to have anything fixed, but still.
I feel your pain ;__;
Female bodybuilders look like they have no breasts and they probably exercise and be healthy everyday!
If you want to keep breasts and exercise the rest, wouldn't you normally just avoid excessive cardio and just do lots of repetitions of other exercises that focus more on core, thighs, calves, etc? Arms are also easy without doing anything major to the central body so long as the reps are high and the weight is low. At least that's my theory. I've never focused on avoiding spots. Then again, I'm a guy, so I don't need to avoid working out specific areas.
Cardio should be a key factor in your exercise plan in order to maintain an overall healthy weight and to stay in shape, so there is simply no getting around it. I was a D cup when I first started working out last year and since then I've lost 15 pounds and gained a ton of muscle, and I am now somewhere between a B and a C cup. They really are the first thing to go, but once you're past that barrier, all around weight loss can begin to occur. Essentially, your boobs will match your new body, even if they're smaller, and and it's a small price to pay for your general health and well-being, I'd say.
you can't really spot train to reduce or keep a certain area. As you work your whole body, which you should if you actually want to be in shape, you will hopefully lose some inches everywhere. Some women are lucky and do not lose from their breast are at all. It depends on your body type. But chances are that if you lose inches from your chest, it means your chest was not at its "optimal measurement" in terms of your health.
work only on the parts you want to get rid of.
ex. you want to lose your stomach.
do sit ups, curl ups those that work on your stomach
ex 2. your thighs
do crunches and such : )
I lost 28 lbs. and none were from my chest area so, everyone's different... most people do loose from the chest area because that's their body type and that's where a lot of fat is stored.
that sounds so much like my issue right now!!
my boobs are already minimal in size but i'd rather look skinny with flat boobs than being chubby!!
There's no way to spot reduce. You're body will lose fat in all areas at different times. There's no way for you to choose where or when a certain area will start losing fat. Besides, the trade off for smaller breasts is a slimmer and leaner body. That'll get more guys than large breasts.
yup i went from a c cup to an A! an A!!! i probably don't even have to wear A anymore. if i wear a sports bra, im literally a wall
try push-ups and chess press exercises. that might help. i heard that supposidly it helps... idk
Not exercising your chest is actually the opposite of what you should do. You don't lose inches off of your chest by doing weights (or your stomach by doing crunches for that matter).  These exercises tone the muscles underneath. Losing weight requires burning more calories than you take in, which burns fat all around.  There  is no spot dieting, and never will be, or everyone would look perfect!  So you just have to decide which is more important to you.  Likely if you don't overdo it and starve yourself, your breasts won't completely disappear. If you're in shape, they are your natural size.
Well when you loose weight no matter what ur trying to loose or what u work out, weight will start coming from everywhere sorry : (. I say tone all of ur areas and eat small portions don't try to really loose weight just tone then u will be satisfied with everything and ur breast will still be there. I was in ur same position and now im happy : )! GOODLUCK
