Ice cream has always been an unreachable temptation of mine. As a child, my neighborhood had banned ice cream trucks from entering, causing me to pout and mope everytime I heard the ice cream truck (
link for my tear-jerking song) in the surrounding towns. Even now, although able to get ice cream off the truck, I no longer want to, knowing of how calorie-packed and chemically-enhanced ice cream can be.
But now, I can rest easy.
Häagen Dazs has come out with their new "
Five" ice cream - a new line of deliciously creamy treats that contain only five, all-natural ingredients!
Coming in flavors like passion fruit, ginger and milk chocolate, these ice creams remain a little high in calories, but are still totally delicious.
And hey- they're all-natural!
After enjoying a couple bites of the mint ice cream version of the "Five" line, I totally recommend it to someone who is looking to fulfill a little crave for a cool treat on the impending warm, Summer days.
What other snacks do you wish could go all-natural? Are there other all-natural ice creams on the market today?

ice cream = fat factor :(
no matter what ice cream.. you should only eat it probably once a week so I don't really care for the chemically enhanced ones or the natural ones.
ohhhh this ice cream is soooooo delicious, i highly recommend it; it's just sweet enough and always soft and creamy even if it has been sitting in the freezer for weeks. the vanilla bean is my favourite!
it does have less fat/calories than other ice creams, but it's still got a lot! ice cream will always just be a binge food for me :\
I tried the mint, too. It was delicious. Definitely the best mint ice cream I've ever had. It didn't have chocolate chips in it, though. For me that was a plus, but other people may not like it without chocolate chips.
Damn you. Now I have to go buy some :)
I usually go for sorbets and gelato because I'm vegan.
And most of those Haagen Daz ice-creams are LOADED with calories! I dont give a crap if its all-natural... there's still other brands with *way* less calories in them.
yum yum
Yummmm... delicious!
Just cause its "all-natural" doesn't mean its not still loaded with calories. I'll stick to WeightWatchers and Dreyer's Light ice cream. :P
I love ice cream FAR too much! I can easily eat a pint in a day... sometimes 2 if I really try, lol. Haagen-Dazs has the most amazing flavor Vanilla Swiss Almond and I love it! But there's store brands that offer 1/2 fat or 1/2 calorie versions. They don't taste as yummy though :(
i absolutely love haagen daz :D
I don't believe in ice cream. Underneath the "all-natural" labels, there's always a scam or a lie.
I bet the nutrional value table will be the judge of that.
awesomeee
yum!
I like the yogurt blends ice cream
oo must check these out!
I LOVE ICE CREAM!!!
RE: the "Haagen Dazs has more calories comment," the biggest reason, when compared to other brands (such as Breyers) that also use cream, is because of the air content, called "overrun." Google it.. B&J's and HD have ~10% air content, vs. Breyers, Edy's etc which usually have 50% air content. So double the calorie content of those cheap brands to see how many calories they'd have if they were as dense as the superpremiums.
