It concerns me enough that I'm gonna pay close attention to all the news I can find about it. I'm not certain it WILL become a pandemic, but I'm not closed to the intense possibility.

I'll also be eating more garlic, just in case.

Swine flu is going to kill us all!!

Just like bird flu. And west nile. And SARS. And hoof and mouth disease.

I'm not too worried, I feel that it'll be like all the other health scares that just blow over.
However I will try to keep myself a bit cleaner and be more wary of sick people around me or my baby brother.

im hailla worried (yes hailla).  i have family and friends in socal and im worried about them.  i tell them to wear masks, gloves and stay home if possible.  i would do the same too and i dont care how i look, i rather have looks and laughter than die of some stupid flu that started with pigs!!!.  thats not on my to do list.  what gets to me is how some people are so incompetent that they still travel to mexico.  what...you cant wait till the whole thing blows over??? the country aint going anywhere but you might if you get the disease.  what i like to call incompetence at its best.  just like i dont get why some people who are sick still go to work and the next thing you know half of the office is sick.  its best to be safe than sorry.  what gets the CDC worried is the flu attacks and sometimes kill "the young ones" like 25-40 year olds.  its not your commom everyday flu thats for sure so everybody should be careful.  i think some people arent worried cause they have "control" of their life and you cant see germs right so they think its harmless.  dont underestimate germs.

<----getting a flu shot tomorrow morning. I'm not taking chances. I'm also going from "looks of disgust" to full on screaming at people who wont cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze. It's disgusting & shows lack of home training. That's probably how I was sick with bronchitis for months on end from last year to a few weeks ago. Some turd sneezed in the library in front of me, sprayed his germ infected spit & the day after, I'm down for the count.

Just another thing for people to freak out about. These things are like fads... *yawn*

I'm more worried about the consequences of the panic than I am of the virus itself. Exactly the same way I feel about the recession for that matter. If people don't panic it's not that big of an issue.

Yes, it's a bad flue, but it's not likely kill as per this video. And most people who die from such a thing already had weakened immune systems (such as the other post on here today), and children, pregnant women, and the elderly. It will kill some otherwise healthy adults but it's rare and unlikely.

Were already all dead from the diseases @PixelDOT@xanga mentioned anyway: bird flu, west nile, SARS, and hoof and mouth disease anyway, so we shouldn't really worry to much.

I trust what @quiet_strength@revelife says, I thought I had a minor ear infection but she told me I was going to die. By the end of it felt like I was really dying.

I trust the CDC and the country enough - and I'll also be taking medicine to ward it off. There have already been almost seventy deaths in Mexico - but I think that with that heads up, we'll be able to counter it, better.
So no, not much worrying on my part. But I won't get cocky, either.

I am somewhat concerned, because I live in a tourist area and our county is on alert.

    Thanks
