a hot bath with epsom salt and a glass of wine
A good book...or a sudoko puzzle
Drive up to my favorite mountain-side lookout and watch the sun set as the stars come out.
Go for a walk. By myself, with someone else. It doesnt matter. There is just something about being able to appreciate the outside that makes the whole day better.
Work out like a mad woman, take a nice hot shower and go to bed.
sleep
long run, then a hot shower, and some internet loving
Video games.
The slow kind, not a shooter or action game. But I usually pop in Sims 2 or Spore, or if I don't have my computer, mellow out to solitaire on my ipod. These kind of games are the equivalent of a hot shower for my brain, washing away all the stress and tension that built up over the day.
Now, if I'm in the middle of a long hard day and just need to survive for a few more hours, I have a much different way of dealing. Wait for roommate to be gone, hope downstairs and nextdoor neighbors are gone, crank up punk rock as loud as it goes and just... freak out. Bounce and shout and throw punches in the hair, headbang and kick until I'm out of breath. Then I can handle the rest of the day.
laying next to a creek listening to the water flow over the rocks while the golden sun sets down , then the crickets come out with all the night time animal sounds. when your tired of listening to them you slap on your MP3 player and kick back in the grass =)
I take a hot shower & then a nice, long nap :)
Sometimes... I just attack my fridge and pig out lol.
Beer, Football game, Lazy Boy, epic win.
I love taking long drives. There are a lot of beaches in my area and driving up towards Palos Verdes estates is also soothing. And when that's not an option, I usually opt for wearing my flannel pajamas, making a cup of tea, and reading a compelling novel.
For me, nothing works better than sleep! It's like you can take a "time out" from life, and when you wake up - you're refreshed.
i always eat a bowl of cereal and it alwayssss does the trick
a nice shower/bath.
