No, I don't.
Because I'm not fat.
I tend to barely sweat if i'm working out.. only if its really hot in the room, which would make me sweat even if i wasn't working out
I read from Glamour.com that you do not need to sweat to have a good workout. Sweating is just how your body cools down.
Yeah...sweating is just a way for your body to cool down. There are far better ways to gauge a work out.
It's not the ONLY way to gauge it, I'm sure. I have to REALLY be working to start sweating.
Honestly, I love a good sweat when I workout. Maybe it is because I am fat, but well, I sweat a lot when working out. I love going home all sweaty and then take a shower and feel fresh afterward!
in that position
NO LOL
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - you're first to comment againnnn...how do you do that?! lol =)
yes i think you do...cause it means you're burnin' alot off *yay*
@Peridot21@xanga - Haha, it's not hard, unless it's an interesting topic. Just click it when you see it and type fast.
Short answer. Nope.
And D2BD spends too much time on xanga (like me lol).
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - Lol k...got it! =)
I almost always sweat when I work out and I think it feels good to sweat (b/c it cools down your body, which makes me feel refreshed).
Personally, yes. If I'm not sweating during my workout, I am either being lazy or I have a severe medical problem (which would be cause for panic).
I had a psych medication once that warned of "could prevent sweating" as a possible side effect, so I couldn't exercise while I was on it. No sweating means overheating, and I am already extremely sensitive to the heat as it is. Needless to say, I stopped taking that med very quickly.
yes. i've never had a good workout that didn't make me sweat. when your body heats up your very first physiological response is to sweat to cool off. if you're body temp doesn't rise enough to make you sweat, then your muscles aren't working hard enough to get much benefit. i'm not saying that you have to be pouring sweat, but if you're not sweating at all then either your not working hard or you're dehydrated, and thats pretty terrible.
Some people just naturally sweat less than others, so it depends on the person.
My roommate's mom never sweat a lot in her youth even when living in Atlanta, GA. Now, she actually can't sweat at all anymore due to some sort of medical condition she developed after menopause.
yes absolutely.
because when we sweat during exercise, we're getting rid of toxins, and there is increase of body temperature and improved blood circulating that causes sweating =)
yes I do.
Naturally, I don't sweat a lot no matter how hot it is. When I sweat a bit, I know I'm working hard.
I save yoga/pilates/easy shit for days off.
When I do a full body workout I want to work hard and feel it the next day.
I'm not sure... I'd have to do some research on this. When I saw the title in my universal inbox I thought you were going to tell us the answer... I do sweat when I exercise and my heart pounds a lot and I reckon these are sure signs you are burning energy.
Yes, as it lets me know I have had a successful work out.
I know you really don't need to be sweating to get a good workout, but I feel like I'm doing more for my body if I am actually sweating. Like I feel if I finish a workout and I'm not sweating, then I didn't workout long enough or hard enough.
I absolutely have to be sweating for a solid workout. I also wear a heart rate monitor too. If I teach two aerobics classes back to back my shirt is totally soaked in sweat.
In RE: the picture above: STOP LEANING ON THE HANDLE BARS!!! BAD FORM - BAD FOR YOUR BACK AND NOT EFFECTIVE ENOUGH WORKOUT ON THE BIKE!
yes, at least that's what i think. my clothes are never dry when leaving the gym. i always seem to sweat when working out.. even on my light days.
assuming that the weather isn't what is making you sweat, then yes i think a person has to sweat for it to be a good workout
lol some people sweat, and some don't. When you swim, you don't notice the sweat, but you can still have a very effective workout. :D
Personally, I don't sweat very much, but I wish I did! I went to the gym with my friend on Wednesday, and after an hour of running (me at level 13 and she at level 1), her clothes were drenched, but mine were barely wet. -____-
