I was worse a few months ago. Anyway, I'm not too paranoid about germs unless I really concentrate on it. If I concentrate on it, I won't even want to sit down in a public chair. Though, if someone sneezes around me I'll hold my breath, whether they cover their mouth or not.
I wash my hands before I eat or touch my face, but I'm not too worried about it. Germs are a part of life.
I'm not paranoid about germs at all. I mean, if you spend all your time worrying about germs then you're never gonna live your life. Of course I wash my hands often and all that, but I'm definitely far from paranoid. Â
i sanitize the bottom of my bags whenever i get home. and the soles of my shoes. i hate wet washroom stalls. urine is actually sterile, but stepping in someone else's pee just irks me. and i demand feet to be clean when placed on my bed. other than that, it's all good.
I wash my hands after using the bathroom, after I go somewhere especially germy and I touched a lot of things (like a supermarket or gym), if I get them covered with dirt, paint or some other substance, and before I eat or prepare food.
I'm not paranoid at all. Thankfully, my OCD symptoms have subsided over the years. Plus, I would rather expose myself to germs and develop a good immune system than live in a self-imposed bubble and get deathly sick from every insignificant virus.
Not as paranoid as I am about prions.
not much at all.
Has anyone seen the Invader Zim episode where Zim discovers germs? This post just reminded me...

not paranoid...but i do wash my hands during the day
I wash my hands very often. Well, it's not because I'm paranoid about germs, I just feel like doing so.
Washing your hands to keep you from getting sick. I wash mine every time I enter the bathroom, every time I cook, and every time I eat. And after using the computer.
yep wash them all the time, and I noticed I am slightly healthier because of it, its a good practice to get into, and should be the law in restrooms!
im not overly obsessive with being clean. but i do wash my hands often
I am not paranoid about germs, but I am paranoid about contamination. I won't even touch something once I've decided it is comtaminated hence I have a messy house. I am too afraid of touching the cooties.
It's not that I'm paranoid about germs per say, but I am always washing my hands. I like to be clean.
So here's the deal. The reason these "super bugs" exist is because of the ever increasing use of anti-bacterial and anti-viral substances over the past century. The viruses and bacteria have had to adapt to grow stronger than the things we have created to kill them. That's just nature.
If you don't get sick occasionally, especially when you are younger, your body will never produce the anti-bodies you need to fight these same diseases, and worse ones, in the future. Our bodies are way smarter than the brain of any chemical development company. They will do what they were made to do (and what we need them to do) unless we block them from doing so with anti-bacterial/anti-viral substances and useless vaccinations (I'm talking flu vaccine for healthy people, not MMR).
So stop freaking out about the germs and using your hand sanitizer a thousand times a day, because you're only creating the thing that you're trying to defeat.
I try to wash my hands as often as I can because God knows where other people have been!
i had a teacher in high school who was a germaphobe. he wouldnt touch any of the students hands and flipped out if it was an accident. even if you grazed hands while handing in a paper he's go to his desk and use his antibacterial hand soap thing.
he will freak out if you directly hand him a hall/bathroom pass. he makes you sit next to an open window if you're sick so your germs will hopefully flow out of the room.
SPAZ.
our class gave hima graduating present of lysol
I'm only paranoid when there's a health scare - like swine flu. Heh.
I'm not so much a germophobe as a hygeinofreak. lol
Small amounts of exposure help build your immune system, so it's good. People should really spend more time worrying about not spreading their sicknesses to other people.
I wash my hands every time I use the bathroom, or get something on my hands (dirt, oil, egg, whatever) that isn't lotion, but don't care about "anti-bacterial" crap. Actually, using anti-bacterial body soap, seems to increase my likelihood of getting a yeast infection; I switched soaps and stopped getting them.
It really grosses me out when I'm in a bathroom and someone walks out without washing their hands. I don't care if you didn't pee on them. Wash them anyway.
Sometimes, I sanitize my doorknobs with lysol wipes.
...That pretty much gives you my answer.
I never understood people who wash their hands too much because they're afraid of germs. I mean... washing hands TOO much isn't good for you. It's rather counter-productive, after a point.
I'm a total germophobe! and I have OCD, so that doesnt help...
I must always wash my hands..carry Germ-X everywhere..
using public restrooms is a nightmare. x.x
oh, and I wont drink out of cans because I'm afraid of what germs might be on the rim..plus, I can't see what's inside.
