Colonic Cleansing: Worth a Shot?
After a painfully shallow brunch with a bunch of rich kids from my high school this past Sunday, I overheard a girl say that she just tried colonic irrigation. My interest soon grew into obsession and I've been researching all morning.
The medical articles I've read online, all say that there's too little data to support or refute the benefits of colon cleansing, A friend of mine said her friends have had good results. I just wanted to take one last poll before I call in and make an appointment for next week.
What do you think? Colonic Irrigation: worth a shot or probably a waste of money?

I suppose it's up to you whether or not you want to douche your anus. But the evidence has been against it for awhile. http://www.ncahf.org/articles/c-d/colonic.html
And it is not without risks, including perforation of the bowel.
I've heard some negatives. You could end up eliminating much of the good bacteria down there, which isn't too good. Perforation is a risk, too... and that would have some serious consequences.
I once read a girl's blog about her experience with colonic irrigation. She ended up having severe cramping and diarrhea that continued at home. That doesn't sound too pleasant.
If there's something in there that really needs to come out, your body will tend to do it on its own! Otherwise, I don't see the point.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
I reckon you should give it ago, unless you're 100% satisfied with you bowel functioning. (ie. My friend goes to the toilet 7.15 every morning like clockwork- I have poo envy). Good luck!

I'm taking detox pills. that cleans your colon.
if i was 18, i would do it in a heart beat! think about how much gunk is stuck inside of you, food that you didn't chew well enough, toxins, bacteria. you know you want that out of your system so you can start anew! (:
