Did you know the food industry and the FDA work in tandem with each other to ensure that you get fat? Isn't that just mind-blowing? Well, believe it. Today we're going to be diving into more of the book "Natural Cures" for the inside scoop on how the FDA encourages the use of certain chemicals and pesticides and why they do it.
First off, the crooked medical industry (which I've spoken so much about) has actually classified obesity as a disease. Well, it might be of sorts, but here's the thing, by saying that, they can then make the claim only a drug can cure it. Don't believe me? The FDA has officially declared that only drugs can treat/cure disease. So who gets the short end of the stick? Those of us not in the medical profession. Why do you think PRESCRIPTION diet pills and bariatric surgery are so rampant today? It's because it's in the best financial interests of doctors and Big Pharma. Did I mention all of the potential health problems that come along with it? Hypertension, Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, High Cholesterol, among other things.
Here's where they start to work their evil: the FDA and Big Pharma want you to be like this. Why? They have drugs for every one of the conditions I mentioned and then some, and the more of their stuff they can put you on, the better it is for them financially (remember the FDA has big investments in Big Pharma, as do the practicing physicians/prescribers, so the success of Big Pharma directly affects the pocket books of doctors and the FDA). Now for you, your health is being wrecked by the side effects of these unsafe, non-natural, synthesized drugs with INTENTIONALLY ENGINEERED SIDE EFFECTS TO MAKE YOU FEEL AS THOUGH YOU REQUIRE MORE DRUGS.
So why is the FDA and Big Pharma to blame for the obesity epidemic? The truth is, they're putting chemicals in your food that increase appetite yet slow your metabolism. What happens when you eat more calories than you burn? Bingo...you gain weight. And I don't care if you're a health-nut vegan, if you're not eating organic; you're STILL poisoning yourself with this junk they put in your food. Bottom line: it's not your fault you're hungry all the time. It's the stuff they put into food that makes you think you're hungry. Of course, this profits the food industry too, since you're consuming more therefore buying more. Isn't it a vicious cycle?
So what's the moral of the story? Though it's significantly more expensive and you'll have to make budget cuts in other areas, organic foods without any of these pesticides and crap are much better for you. Also try to make the majority of your diet RAW fruits and veggies. Leaving them in their raw state preserves many of the nutrients (which another reason your body wants to overeat is to get micronutrients that aren't otherwise satisfied in a typical unhealthy American diet). Juicing is optimal to extracting these micronutrients, however (for which I recommend the Power Juicer by Jack LaLanne). Picking high-fiber foods will fill you up quicker and keep your insides moving right along, as they should be. Also don't be afraid to eat more smaller meals during the day vs. a few large meals, you'll keep your metabolism going and therefore burn more calories, just be wise with your food selections. Keep it organic (everything from veggies to meat, which I don't recommend any more than 25% of your diet be animal flesh) and enjoy your way to better health without drugs or surgery.
Thanks, Kevin, for all the research you've done.
Do you think the FDA and drug companies are scheming behind our back?

No, of course not. We should trust the goverment.
I would not be surprised lol
Thank you for featuring my post. I hope everyone here finds it informational.
My sister's a size zero and she doesn't do the whole organic food thing. I try to get organic foods where I can, especially if something is on sale that i can freeze, I'll stock up then.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were.
I completely agree with @kaybaby666@xanga -
Yepp, something I would definitly expect.
TRUST NO ONE
They're out to get you.
Question: If they're doing all this, doesn't that mean they're making themselves fat too? I doubt everyone (or even half) in these industries eat unmodified foods.
The government will kill us all.
and here i thought billy mays had died.....he's here pitching jack lalane's juicer!
all kidding aside, i agree with everything you posted. the book Fit For Life says it all. (except they recommend the Champion Juicer)
AHHHHH GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACIESSSSSS!!!!!!!
@Manndingo@xanga - LOL, I swear I'm not Billy Mays!!!
Yeah, I've yet to pick up that book yet I've heard it's an excellent read.
There's always aphids in my organic broccoli! lol
But yeah- good post! Buy organic and local if you can!
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - Yeah, don't question the government, how unpatriotic! XD
To answer the question that you posed at the end, I don't doubt it. I don't doubt it at all. Â
i mean i know that from what you blogged it seems possible but seriously???? are we really blaming the govenment for this too?? when will we start to take responsiblity for our OWN actions??
see this is what wrong with america we are all so fucking paranoid and sooo against admitting we have a problem that we find every possible way to blame it on something else other then ourselves.
you're fat because you dont know how to control yourself and have no will power. maybe go exercise instead of sitting around all day and you wont be obese. i mean ok there are those FEW who actually cant help it...their bodies have a thyroid problem but the majority of the USA can honestly and truthfully control themselves and be of normal weight if they really tried and WANTED to.....
I mean i LOVE food id be eating every second of everyday if it werent for the fact that im so vain and my physical appearance means so much to me. I cant imagine being fat. itd be horrible. i wouldnt leave the house and being the social partier i am and how i love being around other people and showing off and wearing cuute clothes it forces me to watch what i eat nd EXERCISE everyday...becoming skinny is NOT a destination its a continual journey that is never overrr. its a lifestyle that you have to be willing to adapt and change to....
so people my God, stop blaming the government for all YOUR problems and take some responsibility. your fat because you cant control yourself.
@AubreyMcFate@xanga - You'd be surprised. There are other things the government hides from us. It's sickening, in reality. Big Pharma is about the most unethical industry in the United States. There's a reason I'm slowly coming off of all synthesized drugs (I've only got one to go, and I'll be off of that in a few months time), and will probably never see another doctor again as long as I live. They're all money-hungry people.
@kieri126@xanga - OK, first off you stupid bitch, I'm NOT fat, in fact, I used to be, but I switched everything over to organic and I lost a lot of weight. Granted, a bit of exercise helped to, but get this: I eat TONS more food now than I used to. Hmmm...I think that has something to be said right there. The fact of the matter is that without us being sick (and being rather large is a huge part of that), Big Pharma will go bankrupt, and if they go bankrupt so do the shareholders (namely the FDA and physicians). It's all a big money-making scam and anyone with any level of common sense should be able to see right through it.
@AubreyMcFate@xanga - Unfortunately there are studies supposedly don't exist because the FDA pays all of the conductors of those studies to not publish them (i.e. they BUY these studies). Yeah, the cycle continues. Heard of the Rife machine? No you haven't, however, that's because the FDA bought the rights to from the guy who came up with it. Look it up, you'll be surprised.
Since reading the book, I'm making that transition to all natural. No more synthesized medicine. No more synthetic anything. No more feeding a corrupt government agency the money they want. You don't think that chemicals are making us sick? We're going through puberty younger than ever before. Hmmm....wonder why......
I don't trust the FDA at all, and I do think that doctors offices get more money when they pop out prescriptions. Kind of like they get a cut of the money from sending the person to buy the medication. I think doctors are too quick to suggest medication over natural remedies. "Here, take this medication alongside healthy eating and exercise." then, later on, they reveal that you could have done all the lowering of cholesterol or whatnot without the medication.
I don't trust the government, or most doctors for that matter. :/
@pillowpixies@xanga - "Kind of like they get a cut off the money from sending the person to buy the medication."
You just hit the nail on the head. That's EXACTLY what happens. Doctors have invested in Big Pharma, so of course their profits translate into doctors' profits, which makes them happy. It's part of that vicious cycle I mentioned, and you're right, they never needed that cholesterol lowering drug to begin with. I can think of tons of ways to improve your cholesterol (knocking out fried foods, reducing meat intake, and moderating alcohol intake are three that come to mind), on top of the exercise of course.
It's absolutely batshit crazy. No wise person trusts anything the FDA says.
ugh.
the level of paranoia here is absurd. while i agree money is a huge motivating factor, i think fat people are fat because they eat too much- and whether or not there's some chemical being pumped into their food (and btw- how "organic" is "organic" if the US government determines what "organic" is? Ooooohooooh ghost story- what if pharmaceutical companies GASP are putting chemicals in organic food?!?!!) ... diet foods are for people too lazy to learn how to eat healthier on their own. Eat more vegetables, eat less meat... cook your meat well and buy quality meat, wash your vegetables very well before you eat them raw and cook them with minimal butter or oil (steam!!) and don't get canned. Watch what you eat but don't deprive yourself- indulge every once in a while, but don't binge, and don't eat a "diet" alternative to what you love, because it will make you miss the ACTUAL thing you love even more, since God knows it can't be the same.never try alternatives - the low cal stuff, etc. - because it might be lower calorie, but espec for junk food or diet sodas, it's still bad for you.
exchange your paranoia for some common sense. i realize that greed is a huge motivating factor for EVERYTHING BAD IN THE UNIVERSE, but fuck that- vanity is a huge part of all that too. And btw any way that a person loses weight will contribute to better control of their diabetes. And the other stuff? Besides prevention, no one really knows definitively what will save lives, etc.
trust your doctors. don't spread this shit around and make the general public not trust their doctors. and trust your drugs.
AND BTW
"your health is being wrecked by the side effects of these unsafe, non-natural, synthesized drugs with INTENTIONALLY ENGINEERED SIDE EFFECTS TO MAKE YOU FEEL AS THOUGH YOU REQUIRE MORE DRUGS"
drugs are poisons for which we've realized the benefits outweigh the risks. a side effect is NEVER intentional and meant to require more drugs, and if you really feel like you're overmedicated- talk to your pharmacists and/or doctor and get it fixed. WHATEVER YOU DO don't stop taking your meds just cuz you read a paranoid blog. and stop blaming your problems on other people.
btw sometimes being fat is a side effect of all this bad shit- the heart disease, the diabetes, etc - and thin seemingly healthy people fly under the radar thinking that they're so much healthier just because their bmi's are normal. everyone should go tot he doctor, take their meds, exercise and eat healthy- not just fat people.
I read "the omnivoirs delima" by michael polin( I think) and he addresses that idea that it is the fact that we eat so much industrialized food (high fructose corn syrup-yellow number 2) But how is it that our food has all this? FDA is partly to blame, major food corp. because it's cheaper and eaiser to control.
I haven't had fast food a total of 10 times in the past year (as opposed to eating out 4 times a night a year ago)
I know the people I buy from that grow the fruits and veggies
I see my chicken alive before I kill and cook it.
Not everyone can do this or live by that life style- but I have been doing it for a year, lost 50 pounds, And haven't gotten sick.
Is it a miracle or just eating the way humans were intended to eat?
I think the idea, despite being wrapped in a conspiracy tortilla, is a good one: Know what you are eating. Basically, food that comes in box, can or bag probably isn't good for you. Food is fuel for our bodies because it provides us with the vitmans and minerals that sustain us.
The mass production of cheap food with a long shelf life results in the filling of our bellies, yes, but fueling our bodies not so much. And what's used as persevatives- a lot of the time its sodium- can be detrimental to our health. A recent study (and don't shot me because I don't know the citation) compared food and health care costs from 30 or 40 years ago and today, finding that yeah, we spend less on food now, but we also spend a lot more on healthcare.
With the theme of knowing what in the food my family eats, I take the time to make everything we need from scratch, buy it fresh and avoid anything with ingredients I have to google. Basically, you won't find many boxes or cans in my pantry, fridge or freezer.
@AubreyMcFate@xanga - Actually, that book is sold at print value (i.e. the cost of printing). No profit is made from it. I've actually talked to Kevin personally about that. Where he makes his money is his website which you pay to subscribe to.
Yeah, there's a reason I'll never see another doctor again as long as I live. I'm almost off of my last medicine (an anti-hypertension medicine), and once I'm off that I'm done with medicine forever. I'm also working to completely cut animal products out of my diet. Not quite there, but close. Those lousy greedy bastards known as doctors won't be making any more money off of me.
@care@momaroo - You're amazing. That's the way to live right there. Isn't it amazing the difference it makes?
THE MOON LANDING WAS FAKED.
@abilene_piper_lg@xanga - Thanks. It really DOES make a difference. Since cutting out processed food, the one thing I've noticed is that when I get hungry, it takes less to fill me up. I also don't have cravings for junk food anymore, but rather want "real" food. I also generally feel better all around and we all have less of a problem with our allergies.
The reason for changing our life-style (because ex-ing conveince food is a huge life-style change) was my husband having a heart attack. He was diagnosed with hypertension and found that his heart was only at 45% effiency (sp?). I started right away with cutting sodium out of our diet. I was aghast at all the sodium we were consuming. Every night when I served dinner, I was actually killing us.
Long story short, my husband had the lap band done, which was basically a last resort to save his life. He was given a recipie book in which name-brand "diet" conveince food was used, which didn't sit well with me. Why was I going to give Kraft foods more of our money to put a little less deadly stuff in our food? Where's the logic in that?
If we were going to make such a HUGE change, we were going to do it right. We were going to re-think our relationship with food in general. Fresh, simple, well-made food that not only satisfies our hunger, but keeps us healthy and surprisingly, has reduced what we spend on groceries each month.
