Can Jergens Make Me Look Like This?
I'm one of those people who's easily manipulated by TV and magazine ads. Even if they are unrealistic, like using this shampoo will make your hair grow faster in just a few weeks, or drinking that will help you lose at least 10 pounds in a week without exercising... (I don't really believe those ads), I always become curious, and end up purchasing them even if they're not on my “must buy list”.
A few weeks ago, I was reading a health magazine and this Jergens Skin Firming Moisturizer ad caught my eye. So, I thought why not try and see if it really works? On the same day, I went to CVS near my apt. and bought the product. (I don't really remember the exact price, but I think it was around 5 bucks or so, which I think was pretty reasonable).
After I took a shower that night, I opened up the bottle and spread it evenly onto my skin, trying not to miss a single spot. First of all, I absolutely LOVED the smell! Maybe it was the seaweed extract that's in it, I'm not sure, but it definitely smelled fresh. It also left my skin feeling very smooth and hydrated all night long.
But the thing is, I've been using this product everyday for a couple of weeks now, and can't really see the difference. I don't know if I'm expecting too much too soon.
Have you tried Jergens Skin Firming Lotion or any other similar products? Do you think they really work? Which brand do you think works the best?

i've tried all kinds of firming lotions and really none of them have worked for me. only way to make my skin more firm is to put the lotion on, rub it back and forth so it evenly distributes on your skin, work out and get a massage once every 2-3 weeks. that helps for me. i've only noticed lately that i have less cellulite and my skin is more firm because of the working out and getting a massage on my problem areas.
I don't use them long enough to see results. I usually forget to put them on consistently everyday. lol ><
None of that stuff works. I'm serious. Unless you're getting plastic surgery. Then that works. Sometimes.
I used firming lotion and I broke out into hives. Actual HIVES.
So no, I don't think it works. Diet and exercise works.I used an entire bottle of Nivea Skin Firming Lotion and saw no improvement. There is no magic cure, just hard work and exercise!
What the hell is wrong with her right foot?!?!
I used up a whole bottle of Nivea's Touch of Sun plus Firming moisturizer (or something like that), and while the gradual tanner and moisturizer were great, I didn't see any "firming" results...
I use Johnson&Johnson Baby Lotion =)
It works if you have sensitive skin, and leaves you with baby soft skin & it smelllls really good (at least I think it does lol)
@crystal_air@xanga - lmao
i've used the jergens firming lotion, i think it helped a tiny bit but it could have been the increase in exercise. i can never really tell lol. but the nivea shit, does not work!
Eh; the thing about using skin products is that it isn't good enough to just pick a brand name, you have to know your skin type. Me personally, I don't pay much attention to 'instant solutions' but if you are the kind who does, maybe this product just isn't right for you. You'd have to cycle through products to find the one that you like best-- and not judge just by the advo. I hope you something that works for you
@crystal_air@xanga - her dress whites out the top half of her leg making it lok like her foot is bent funny. Carefully look at the edge of the dress and pretend that the leg is under there. it then just goes from looking kinda like putty legs to just her pointing her toe.
wow,i,um, don't have any saggy/cellulite problems to worry about now,but i know i probaly will later so thanks for the advice.
@DenimPants@xanga - Thank you for the explaination, my dear. Pure sarcasm, I assure you : )
