Getting a Good Night Sleep When It's Warm
Sometimes when it's a very warm, sticky and humid night, I have done these things to try to have a good night sleep.
#1 No drinks which contain caffeine in (which rules out soda, coffee etc)
#2 No chocolate or sweets
#3 Light weight quilt and sheet and bottom sheet
#4 Wearing something light to sleep in (even though it might be tempted to sleep nude, I usually find it harder to sleep nude when it warm, and prefer to wear something)
#5 since we don't have A/C at home, I keep my curtains close during the day and open my window during the evenings before I go to bed, it is a shame I cannot keep it open at night because someone might be tempted to climb in.
Any tips you would like to share for getting a good night sleep when it is warm. How do you sleep when the weather starts to rise during the summer months?

A/C all the way. I always had a hard time sleeping in the summer before we installed a window A/C unit in our bedroom.
I had so much trouble sleeping last night because of the heat. I completely forgot I had a fan in my room and spent the night tossing and turning, and trying to readjust my sheets and quilt -_-
When we didnt have A/C, we had our windows open all the way. We were on the 3rd floor so it was ok & he had super light sheets if any at all. lol. Then we got Window fans!
If the A/C doesnt work now, I suffer b/c I'm on the first floor.
I shoved a quiet fan into my window to get air in with a timer to shut off after a while or else it gets cold ...
-A/C for the whole night.
-Drink water a few minutes before climbing into bed (keeps me cool)/keep a glass of water by my bed
-Light sheets
-I go to sleep in pj pants and a tank, so Im not freezing.
okay this is what I do- I live in rural egypt
I take a cold shower. then I have a "bed" that I make on the tile floor of our entryway because the cross breeze is there- turn on the ceiling fan. get a cold rag and put it around your neck.
Shower before bed, keep a bottle of water close by, and wear light clothes.
Central AC day and night. No problems here. Oh and a powerful-powerful-blow-your-face-off fan.
A/C. But if that isn't on.
I've a ceiling fan and a fan on my desk pointed at my bed.I took a water bottle next to my bed.And I sleep in only a tank top and panties.xo
Keep a fan pointed right at your bed.. But not your face..
I have a hard time getting to sleep when it's really hot and sticky. I usually sleep under a sheet and light comforter and wear a tank top and shorts. I keep my window cracked a little and turn my ceiling fan on.
fill a hot water bottle up with cold water, sleep naked, sleep with no covers on. [:
i don't have a/c either. when it's hot out i sleep with my window open (no threat of anyone climbing through my window), with hardly any clothes on, if any at all, and/or with no blanket on top. i don't sleep with a top sheet - i get tangled in them, and they're completely pointless, says i. so, there you have it! that's how i get a good sleep when the temperatures are soaring.
Make friends with someone who has a subterranean basement! Seriously, that's pretty much your best shot.
