How Often Do You Eat Out?
For those who love to eat out, don’t be surprised.
Based on a new study, “the typical diner eating at fast food restaurants underestimates her calorie intake by 900 CALORIES a week.” Wow. That’s a lot. Well, I know it’s definitely better to cook healthy food and eat at home, but what if you are just too tired from work and don’t really feel like cooking every night, or you’re just not a good cook? And plus, I think it’s always nice to eat out with your boyfriend/girlfriend or friends at a nice restaurant. Don’t you think?
Do you prefer to eat out or eat at home? How often do you eat out? Do you usually go for healthy food when you eat out?

hardly eat out
prefer home cooked meal =D
I almost never eat out --so on the few times a year when I do, I go all out and don't worry about counting calories.
Only on dates. I always order water and use portion control though so it's okay. Splitting entrees is also cheap for dates! ;D
normally when i eat out i dont really go for fastfood. i prefer something healthier...like sushi.
I like eating at home.
not very often. i always eat at home. actually i think i eat out once a year! eating at home is totally healthier than eating out. well depending on the foods you cook. but at least you know what you're cooking or eating :D so that's an advantage.
I eat out on average probably once a day.
once every two or three weeks. I try to avoid fried things though and almost never eat fast food.
i cook most days. we usually just go out for special occasions like bdays, anniversaries, etc.
rarely eat out...when i do it's usually something healthy like sushi.
Like once every 2-3 weeks. And heck, usually it's Starbucks and I used to work there... so I know how many calories are in just about everything.
tend to go out for dinner once a week, usually. i don't know that i'm even remotely calorie conscious when i'm out. would you really want to know how much fat is in the loaded nachos you're splitting with your friends?
we eat out once a month at a restaurant. i got my fast food intake down to once or twice a month with an exception of frostys. i cant help it they are only a dollar now and the baby likes them lol. i know because she kicks me when i eat them.
that is so true. Once on a whim i looked up the calories for Red Lobsters. Tell me why their CESAR SALAD had more cals than some of their entre meals?? oh wellz.. i guess its always best to eat in. I also tend to have smaller portions at home as well.
OMG NEVER... except at my job?!?! lol free crepes XD the other stuff is EXPENSIVE AS HELL. :( seriously, i went with my boyfriend to a korean bbq place. THE BILL WAS 53 DOLLARS TT_______________________TT OTL okay yeah that was death. it was just the two of us. seriously. URGHHHH. but yeah i do like eating out because i'm a beast so i can just wait for somene to make the food :P usually if i'm eating at home i clean out the kitchen within a few hours depending on how good the food is.
less than once a month. i order whatever i want when i eat out.
i prefer eating at home and i tend to chose healthy food when i eat out =)
mm 2-3 times a week? I refer home cooked meals because I know what goes in it, and I have control over how much salt is put in it too.
A couple times a week.
damn i eat out alot just because i really don't like to cook..but ireallyneed to quck taht..it's so bad for me i had gained 20lbs just from eating a lot of fast foods.
i eat out almost everyday ;___;
Used to eat out heaps but can't afford it as much these days.

Going out is a treat for us, depending on holiday whether it is all incusive (we go out for a meal once in the holiday instead of eating in the hotel) or self catering we go out for lunch sometimes, but evening meal every night.
Sometimes we have take out at home but is a treat, we prefer home cooking.
eating in! is the 'in' thing (: and yes if there's really no choice but to eat out, i'd opt for the healthier choices.
I almost never eat out anymore. Part of it is because I once had a runaway food and dining budget, and it was just way out of control; so I disciplined myself with it.
Most of it though, is because... why spend 5x as much on food made with less quality than I can make myself? It just doesn't make any sense.
As for not knowing how to cook, it's never an excuse. ANYBODY CAN COOK. In fact, that's what my entire food/ cooking blog is based on -- teaching people how to cook from the most basic of techniques and ingredients to advanced techniques and exotic ingredients (all with photo instructions too).
