  • What Do You Eat at Work?

What Do You Eat at Work?

I find that I'm constantly eating snacks and fast food when I'm at work, but when I'm home, I eat seriously healthy and regularly. Usually people splurge on weekends and indulge in those 48 hours, but I'm the reverse. Weekends for me are time to eat healthy!

Do you eat healthier when you're at home, or when you're at work? What do you eat when you're in the office?

I don't eat.  I eat before and after work, but never during.  If I do, it's like an apple.

i eat healthier at school. mostly becuae i pack my food beforehand, and when that's all i have that's what i eat. at home there is more stuff

I eat healthier at school but probably more at school too. I usually pack good/healthy food...but since I don't want left overs, I might eat a bit more.

I usually eat fruits like apples and stuff but usually bring snacks along as well like shrimp chips, pocky, etc. I try to save money and it's good to have parents with me at home because they'll buy healthy stuff. Fruits help me keep awake and more energized, so I like eating that.

At home, I actually don't have junk food... The only times I'll splurge on fast food and stuff is when I'm out! Which isn't often, sadly/fortunately?

regular fruits are great. eating like that is good for maintaining your weight too, which is a part of keeping up a fast metabolism aswell

I usually have a 100g yoghurt at 10h00 and a low-gi sandwich at around 13h00 which sustains me till 17h00.

I'm currently unemployed,  but at the placement I did a couple of months ago,  I had sandwiches, mineral water to drink,   sometimes I had the odd cherry Bakewell or jam tart.

At home I eat vegetables every night,  drink more water now and less soda,  also I cutted out on the chocolate and sweets.

I do so much better at work because I have a set schedule, 5 days a week so it's a weekly routine for me. I usually eat at the same times everyday and plan my meals for the day in the morning. I make sure I only pack what I'm going to eat for the day and leave only healthy snacks in my desk. I usually have a hard time staying on track during the weekends though, mom's home made foods, going out to eat and all.

I work a 9 to 5 so I know the feeling. the temptation to avoid fast foods/out to eat at work is hard, but i pack ahead always. Fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, freezer meals (like hot pockets).

I bring my lunch with me. I have apples as a midmorning snack, sandwich for green tea for lunch and 100 calorie something or other for an afternoon snack.

It's really hard for me at work because I'm still a waitress at a Cracker Barrel while I'm finishing up my medical degree. If I forget to bring a meal, I have to eat the food there. There are very few healthy things on the menu and since I don't eat red meat or poultry, I'm limited to grilled trout, pancakes or fried shrimp. Obviously, the trout is the healthier choice, but I get so sick of it and I end up feasting on biscuits. I've been trying to be really diligent about packing my own meals and healthy snacks so I don't nosh on Cracker Barrel's nasty greasy food.

I take my own food to save money and stay healthy. I usually take a sandwich, a drink, and then a granola bar or fruit.

  • kvdubs@xanga

@deprivation_now@xanga - I only work about six hours at a time and typically I don't get hungry during work.  I don't work a typical office job with 8-5 hours.  I work normally 2 to about 7.

I eat the same at home that I do at work... because I bring my lunch with me... some of the options I give myself:
    - Tuna Jarred in Olive Oil with an egg
    - Ground Burger (Ostrich, Elk, Beef, Bison)
    - Sardines or Mackerel Canned in Olive Oil
    - Chicken Breast
    - Grass-fed Hot Dogs
    - Ground Turkey Burger

These are things I brought with me this week to eat at work: cheeto puffs, yoplait fat free yogurt, grapes, a slice of garlic spinach and mushroom pizza  with red pepper and parmesan cheese, leftover eggplant parmesan with spaghetti and garlic cheese bread. Yum.

  • no1charmerlondon@xanga
