Still hiccupping? Try this technique!
When you have endless hiccups, take the deepest breath you can and hold it for 10 seconds. Next, without exhaling completely, inhale more air, and this time hold it for five seconds. Then, inhale (I promise this is the last time you have to inhale!) as much air as you can and hold it for five more seconds. Lastly, exhale and breath as you normally would. i just hold my breath for 1 or 2 hiccups, exhale & do it again.
Drinking from the far end of a glass or bottle always works for me. Just be careful not to spill.
And eating a spoonful of peanut butter sometimes helps too.
I breathe through my nose evenly, deliberately and somewhat shallowly at about twice the rate I normally breathe for about 30 seconds, and they go away.
coughing the hiccups away. That's what my fifth grade teacher taught us to do.
interesting. i should do this. i usually just let my hiccup go away by itself.
I just concentrate really hard on breathing normally for about half a minute. They usually go away after that.

haha that's weird that this was posted today. i had the hiccups today for the first time in a long time!

what i usually do is hold my breath and swallow three times. a boy told me to do that when i had the hiccups in the eigth grade, and its worked every time.

What you really need to do is swallow (nothing, or maybe TINY sips of water) real fast, non stop, for about 10-20 times. . . your diaphragm will relax and you will stop hiccuping, unless you start inhaling and exhaling abnormally again (sometimes I do it in purpose to hiccup again, just to do the swallowing exercise again. Yes it's THAT cool. Like magic.)
take a mouthful of water, bend over (head to knees while standing) and swallow. Vualah!
take a drink while holding one finger on your temple.. works every time!
Hold your breath and block your ears...
or
do as the Indian's do - get someone to tug on a chunk of your hair, really hard!
Drinking water upside-down off the far edge of the glass has always worked for me.
I'll try this next time I get my monthly hicupping fit.
