Those are horribly inaccurate. Get a heart rate monitor.

This is horribly inaccurate for actual caloric expenditure for the day.  It's misguided beliefs like this that lead a lot of people to horrible bouts of ED calorie intake counting.

Fact is, the amount of calories you expend during a specific exercise is NOTHING compared to the amount of calories expended just by an increase in your Basal Metabolic Rate.  People don't realize this, and starve themselves, thinking they'll get skinny by not eating; and doing bits of workout.  The key is increasing the BMR.

I probably eat around 5,000 calories a day, and sit at about 7-9% bodyfat because I keep my BMR high.

I wish people would stop making tools like this to spread misinformation.

@chow@ireallylikefood - Did I ever tell you how much I hate you.  5,000 calories a day!!!!!  ARGHHHH  That's... super crazy for me.  I can't even imagine that let alone consume it.  But then the logical side says you're obviously very different from me and I shouldn't compare but darn it, I'm female and I'm allowed moments of insanity!

    sniff sniff  life's so unfair
