  • Would You Wear Arm Warmers?

When I hear the word "warmers," my brain instantly conjures up an image of Jane Fonda in her aerobics gear, complete with snazzy, colorful leg warmers. Don't worry, arm warmers are not so much a fashion statement as a useful addition to your running wardrobe. Arm warmers are simply stretchy sleeves that keep an athletes arms warm. Originally, arm warmers were used by cyclists, but a lot of professional/marathon runners have started using them in recent years. Why not just wear a long-sleeved shirt? Arm warmers can keep your body heat in during those cool first miles, but can be easily taken off and carried when you warm up. It's a lot more convenient than figuring out what to do with that outer layer when you're too warm to wear it anymore.

What do you think? Would you use arm warmers or are they a waste of money?
