When I hear the word "warmers," my brain instantly conjures up an image of Jane Fonda in her aerobics gear, complete with snazzy, colorful leg warmers. Don't worry, arm warmers are not so much a fashion statement as a useful addition to your running wardrobe. Arm warmers are simply stretchy sleeves that keep an athletes arms warm. Originally, arm warmers were used by cyclists, but a lot of professional/marathon runners have started using them in recent years. Why not just wear a long-sleeved shirt? Arm warmers can keep your body heat in during those cool first miles, but can be easily taken off and carried when you warm up. It's a lot more convenient than figuring out what to do with that outer layer when you're too warm to wear it anymore.
What do you think? Would you use arm warmers or are they a waste of money?

I don't really jog, but I do wear arm warmers ...
never thought of it that way but if I make it to Boston then I`ll probably get a pair
and to answer your question to why I would rather not just wear long sleeves, try and take off an article of clothing running a decent pace, it`s hard
Nah, my arms are huge. Don't want to get any more attention there HAHA
I'll just stick to gloves, thanks.
i LOVE arm warmers. i;m a cyclist so they're a must when it;s colder.
I'd use them even if I didn't have to do exercise. I like the look! =P
One of my friends in high school called these emo sleeves. Fugly but they got the job done.
I like a pair for both cycling and running.
My arms are really skinny, and I've had trouble finding arm warmers that won't fall down my arms because of it.
Nah..
EW no. just wear underarmour -__-
I would have never thought there would be a use for arm warmers. I always thought they were an ugly fashion statement, but I would use them for working out.
I have arm warmers for work. They worked very well for my old cube was a cold dark space...
yeup they're worth the investment especially in races and just odd-weather training days. they work for lots of terrestrial sports...running, biking, speed walking, even just training at the park
I wear them sometimes instead of fingerless gloves when it's cold, but admittedly it's the ones with all the chains and studs of them. But they're really good, and normally really cosy (:
I want some of those. Actually I want a whole body stocking. lol
in hs, we werent allowed to wear them, so i wore a poly pro undershirt, almost underarmor, but not quite as warm. later in college, i used them, but since i have reynoids, or poor circulation in hand and feet, that did not help a whole lot. when i played baseball, i would wear them and it kept my elbow and forearm from hurting too much, and they kept it warm through a 9inning, 125 pitch game, and fine in a 7 inning 110 pitch game, so i was happy... worth the money as long as you dont throw them away lol
some of them aren't arm warmers. they're compression sleeves to maximize your blood flow.
sure! they are chique in the industial and romantigoth circles...
