  • Rosemary is Great for Your Brain

I love to cook and I especially like to use fresh spices and herbs like garlic, basil, cilantro, and parsley to add a lot of flavor to food without adding a lot of calories or fat. I don’t use rosemary very often in cooking, but I came across this post with great information on why I should start.

Rosemary contains an active ingredient known as carnosic acid, which helps to fight off free radical damage in the brain. Chemical free radicals are thought to be major contributing factors in strokes, neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, and decreased brain functioning caused by the normal aging process.

Try sprinkling fresh Rosemary into pizza or bread dough or mix some with good olive oil to make a tasty dip for bread.

Do you know of any other good brain foods?
