Fighting the Urge to Eat More Halloween Candy?
If you find yourself still snacking on Halloween candy even a few days after the ghosts and ghouls have been put away, here's a few ways to make sure you don't eat your weight in chocolate and Skittles:- Bring some candy to work. While your co-workers may "hate you for it," at least it won't be in your house anymore!
- If you know a teacher (a friend, or maybe your kid's teacher), give the rest of your candy to him/her. The teacher could use it for treats for special occassions or for good test grades.
- Wrap the candy and send it as a care package to someone overseas or to a friend you haven't seen in a while. The gesture is not only incredibly kind, but also totally sweet. :)
- Stick some in your mailbox with a note for your mailman or newspaper delivery person. Just because they haven't gone trick or treating doesn't mean they don't love candy, and they'll appreciate you thinking of them.
- If there is a nearby shelter, ship some candy over there. Shelters are constantly looking for donations in everything, and they will probably be able to distribute some candy out to some who may not be able to afford such sweets.
- Just throw it out! If you can't find someone to give it to and you'll feel better about not having it in the house, don't feel guilty about throwing it out!
What other actions are you taking to ensure that you don't overeat when it comes to Halloween candy?

haha, I just give to my friends :3
My Dad will probably end up taking it to work, since I dont like the chocolate we bought for halloween this year, and too much chocolate is not good, as I am cutting back on it again.
I just didn't go trick or treating os problem solved ;P
Who the fuck wants to NOT eat candy!!!!!!
LOL i've been binging all of last week and i still have more chocolates at home. your advice is great but i need more help, hahaha. feel like the cookie monster on chocolate!
I do the take it to work. Last year, we didn't get trick-or-treaters, and my mom bought a TON of candy (literally 5 pounds or more). So we split the bowl up, and took our half to work. Apperently all the managers at my work at half of the candy and by the end of the day, it was all gone. I didn't have one(:

It would suck if the mailman was diabetic. lol.
I like to bake and I'm thinking of baking food for christmas gifts. :) Anyone know any good recipes to use up the candies?
Yeah, if you're that desperate to not eat candy I guess. But why deprive yourself of the joys of candy?
I'm going to send it to a pen-pal, but I keep snacking on it. So I asked my brother to hide the bag anywhere in the house without my knowledge of it's whereabouts. LOL

I HATE WASTEFULNESS!
But everything else sounds like a wonderful idea. My economics teacher takes candy away from his children and gives it to us...
i love the idea of giving candy to your delivery man :D
Lol just send it to me. If I get enough people sending me candy, I will open up a candy shop.
All of my relatives are getting leftover Halloween Candy for Christmas.
dont throw it out...thats so wasteful.
just dont eat like, more than 5 pieces a day?
I hand it out at work.
Candy don't get rotten. Why not save them for next Holloween. Or take a couple of candy a day. It can sweeten your life. It won't hurt your health.
