Healthy Tip Of The Day!
“Crank up your workout!”
Do you need to work out, but are feeling a bit sluggish? Try smelling peppermint!
According to a study from Wheeling Jesuit University, “peppermint vapors gave college basketball players more motivation, energy, speed, and confidence” (I’ve heard that it helps with running, too). Several athletes use peppermint inhalers, and apparently, Reebok even has sports bras that have a built-in peppermint smell. (Source from Prevention Magazine)
You can try inhaling minty-scent-oil, minty body products, or even try chewing a piece of peppermint gum!
Have you tried this technique before? Did/do you feel more energized? Do you know of any other tips that have helped you improve your workout performance?

I love peppermint.
I can see it now:
Cute guy at gym: "Wow, you smell really nice!"
"Thanks! It's my bra."
I've never tried peppermint. I like exercise though, so I'm not really starved for motivation.
Interesting.....what about peppermint tea???
i actually tried this in high school, but i think it's a placebo.

@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - you mean my special scented pencils for tests only are fake? x]
peppermint tea is really nice.
Interesting enough, I always used to chew peppermint gum when I was on an exercise-high a few months back.

I got this aromatherapy face spray that has peppermint and I think the idea is that it is invigorating to the senses. I notice Lush uses peppermint in a lot of their shower products claiming it is "energizing."
