Walking In A Winter Wonderland...
I personally like winter because it’s full of my favorite holidays—Christmas, New Year’s, and my birthday. However, when it comes to working out, I have to say it’s not the best season. The freezing weather and snowy and icy roads make it even harder for you to run outside, and you just don’t feel like leaving your house.
However, winter has a lot of sports and activities you can enjoy, such as skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snowball fights, snowshoeing or even walking around the store or mall searching for your holiday gifts.
What’s your favorite winter sport or activity?

I'm actually a fan of shoveling! It gives a great cardio workout, and you don't get overheated too quickly. I like ice skating even though I've only done it twice in my life, and sledding is like...obvious. Also snowball fights. Well...I suppose I just love everything about winter.
I love, love, LOVE snowboarding! I go constantly in the winter here in Wisconsin
I hate winter with a passion. I'd totally be willing to bypass my birthday if it stayed fairly warm all year round (just so I get to stay in Canada, but I guess it comes with the territory .__.). There's a pond area at the end of my street that the people near the area flood every winter to make a rink for the kiddies, and beside it is a hill where I haven't sledded since my neighbour sent me straight into a pine tree some 8 years ago, rofl.
@AutumnShadowsQ@xanga - I never even thought of that. It ends up being a family workout and team effort, both together and in shifts, and we all get a good workout! Afterwards, assuming we're shoveling for fun/later and not to get out of the house first thing in the morning, we can all go in and have hot chocolate! We have a snowblower too, but it's so small that you may as well be shoveling anyway.
I really love walking in the woods in the winter. Hiking is awesome. It's my favorite. I really love the forest when it's stripped of vegetation and creepy crawlies.
The picture used to illustrate this reminded of something I really, really hate doing in winter: running out in the cold air. Running in very cold weather is SHEER AGONY from nose to ears to lungs. I hate it so much! I'm all for running the rest of the year. Winter is always sure to kill my outdoor running habit, though.
I love ice skating! It's pretty much the only reconcilable thing about winter . . . The past two years I've gone to an indoor rink almost once a week in the winter. I would even go in the summer, but nobody else seems to like that idea . . .
Other than that I go to the gym or something. Ice skating and hiking are much more fun, but I do like the gym too.
