  • The "Your Shape" Wii Game is the Coolest Exercise Game!

    WOW!

Your Shape is a new game being released in late November, just in time for the Holiday season. I can’t say enough about how amazing this game seems! Exergaming (exercise-gaming) is evolving each day as newerand better games are produced. With everyone seemingly healthconscious, it’s important for developers to continue producing new and challenging games. In previous posts I’ve mentioned the great aspects of different Wii Fit enabled games as well as different benefits tousing them, but "YOUR SHAPE" completely blows them out of the water! While I still think the other games are great, this new Nintendo Wii game is sure to impress and be suitable for ALL walks of fitness.

This revolutionary games has not 10, or 45 games, but OVER 400 fitness exercises! This means endless combinations to intensify your routine. You can pretty much customize this game anyway you want, from choosing a time frame to reach your goal, as well as WHAT KIND OF GOAL! Isn’t that exciting? So if you want to drop a size in your overall body, there’s an option for that. If you simply want to tone, there’sone for that, and if you want to strengthen, well you can choose that too! I haven’t even mentioned the best part of the entire game.

It comes with a CAMERA. While PS2 and PS3 use the “eye toy” device, and the DSi has a built in camera, this game will come with a special little webcam device that scans your body and builds a profile. This means you can workout in real time, and see yourself on screen. I don’t know how much I want to watch myself jiggle, but this seems extremely motivating to get the results you want. Talk about getting the most out of your workout!

Other features include an on screen personal trainer that motivates you and shows you how to do the moves EXACTLY. From the trailer and the screen shots it appears that there will be a shadow to show where  should fit to do each move properly. This doesn’t use the Wii FitBalance board, so if you don’t have one you can still get an EPIC workout routine to keep those holiday pounds at bay. This also doesn’tuse a Wii remote or a nunchuk, so you can play hands free without dealing with the hassle of different peripherals!

Does this game look interesting to you? Are video games becoming great tools for weight loss?
