What Weird Food Combinations Are You Guilty of Eating?
One of the two dining halls on campus was having a "cram session" where students got a chance to take a break from the hectic studying ensued by final exams and cram food into their faces from 10 at night to midnight. Unfortunately, I missed the buffet.
While I sat on my laptop, instant-messaging on Skype with my friend during most of that time, trying to find food in my dorm room to serve as a make shift dinner. This did not go over very well. While my friend sits at home, he got to feast on his mother's home cooking and lay on a comfortable bed. I was sitting on my somewhat hard bed eating Tostitos Scoops!® dipped in peanut butter.
Yes, you did that right. That was my dinner, and I liked it. It got me thinking about guilty pleasures... In food, mind you!
Not being a picky person, I have yet to withhold any information from friends and family about my current loves in food. I think the only time I ever held back in admitting food cravings was when the divulgee involved a guy I liked and was worried they might think the insides of my mouth smelled and tasted of Funyuns® after hearing of the weird food-combinations I consume. I recall one friend not reacting very well to my favorite afternoon snack: a peanut butter and jalapeno sandwich.

Do not ask me how I was able to eat such a thing. I tried one recentlya nd did not like the mixture of flavors. Call it a phase, I guess. However, I am sure my past guilty pleasure, and even my current one, is far less grotesque to others.
What are some of the weird things we eat of which we refuse to admit to others? What are you guilty pleasures in food? Do not be shy!

uhm its not really weird. peanut butter and banana sandwiches? yeah hahahahah
I eat butter-and-cheerio sandwiches. Butter the bread, then pour cheerios on it and eat. Om nom. I also eat cheese while drinking orange juice.
When I was little, I used to try and dip everything in butter; I recall corn pops dipped in butter was one of my favs. Fortunately for my health, I've outgrown that.
I LOVE egg and tomato sauce together. :)
OMGGGG nom nom nom.
Chicken nuggets dipped in a vanilla shake! It's one of my biggest guilty pleasures when I break down and get some McDonald's.
before i went vegan, i ate shredded beef taquitos dipped in coffee, & flour tortillas dipping in ranch dressing. >.>
wow, I remember the dorm food days... My freshman year my dad bought me a giant container of dried cous cous and it lasted the whole year. Whatever else I had in my mini fridge I ended up putting on it... hummus, beans, peanut butter, strange assorted seasonings. Not all at once though. When I was really little, I ate PB and cheese sandwiches, usually with shredded cheese and on pita bread. Now that sounds disgusting, but I guess it was a weird phase.
When I was younger I would eat mayonnaise and sweet relish sandwiches.
oh and I liked to melt peanut butter and dip little chunks of white chocolate in it. That's not really that weird... just really bad for you! haha.
I love a good pickle and mustard sandwich. Bread, mustarsd, pickles.I love sour foods.
Also, doritos dipped in cottage cheese. Dreamy.
I don't know. Is a cream cheese and salami sandwich considered normal or strange? As far as I know it's normal, but it's less kosher than most options (heh...heh... little joke for our Jewish friends there).
Im not weird enough. lol many think me being a vegetarian is a weird eating habit tho. lol
I put ketchup on baked potatoes. Just ketchup lol.
I also eat sandwiches with just lettuce and bread, which really freaks the people at subway out for some reason, hah.
I used to LOVE peanut butter and cheese sandwiches. It was wunnerful.
@emwantsthin@xanga - YES
no I am not pregnant, yes I eat pickles and ice cream.
Melted cheese on instant noodles?
Animal intestines? Fish's eyes? Tiger penis?
I really love raw baby carrots dipped in ketchup. Also, I need to drink milk when I eat Doritos.
I put nutella and canned tuna on bread and make a sandwich. it's surprisingly good.
Vegimite. Enough said.
@freakyysmiles@xanga - It's like eggs and salsa :)....just less spicy, lol.
I don't eat any combinations that are too weird. The weirdest would probably be always substituting ketchup for barbecue sauce. BBQ sauce on sandwiches, for dipping French fries, etc.
And I always eat my cereal without milk, so I guess that could be an odd lack-of-combination.
I've eaten chip dip on sandwiches, instead of mayo.
I really don't eat any weird food combinations. I didn't even do it when I was pregnant.
I used to eat mustard sandwiches?
@Audiofreak18@xanga - That's not so weird, it's delicious.
