  • Five Natural Remedies of Acid Reflux

If you are one of the millions of people who drink adequate water each day, exercise three to four times a week and observe healthy diets, you are among the people who are already trying acid reflux natural remedies. Acid reflux is caused by the movement of acid in the stomach up the esophagus as a result of either too much acidity in the stomach or weakening of the diaphragm muscles that are supposed to allow only one way movement of food into the stomach. In some cases, a combination of both these causes result in the painful and uncomfortable sensation that is characterized by the acid influx. This condition affects anyone, infants to adults and moth male and female.

Whenever your body is not functioning properly, it is often a message for you to change the way you treat it. GERD, as acid reflux is known, is a message from the body for you to adjust your dietary habits. There are 5 effective natural remedies for this condition.

    They are:

    a) You can heal the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) muscles that contract and expand to allow the movement of food in only one direction. Strengthening these muscles or healing them if they are damaged is the most effective way to deal with acid refluxes.
    b) Water is critical in everyone’s life. Drinking at least one glass of water after meals will go a long way in taming acid refluxes.
    c) Proper timing of meals is also essential in tackling acid refluxes. The first point in acid reflux treatment is to eat only meals as big as your fist during a meal session. You can eat less food more frequently than eat more food less frequently.
    d) Chew your food thoroughly to avoid flare-ups and have an easy time during digestion.
    e) Moderate or completely get rid of coffee. You should not take more than one cup of coffee in a day or take a glass of water right after an extra cup to minimize the effects of acidity.

I suffer from acid reflux, and have "folds" so I throw up a lot from whatever exactly is wrong with me...for letter (a), what can be done to heal the LES? Or to strengthen it?

    Ha, moth male.

Yeah, what's A supposed to be? You can do it, but we're not going to tell you?

I suffer from "AR" . That's what I like to call it because I hate the term "acid reflux". Uhhhhhh don't take prevacid because that makes it worse.I've noticed that eating smaller meals and drinking more water helps, yep.

If you will chew gum after eating or the min you feel it coming on you will not have it. But that is only if you don't take antacids and all that other crap that keeps you having it. I rarely if ever get it...but that is because I chew a lot of gum and take nothing more than an aspirin for a headache. Remember your health is your freedom!
