• Raw Food Diet Plans Can Help Lose Weight

Of all the diet plans available, raw food diet plans are some of the easiest to follow. You should start out slowly on a raw food diet with something like fruit or vegetable smoothies; they’re easy and quick since all you do is blend your favorite fruits or vegetables in a blender with water.

If the idea of blending vegetables is unappealing to you, you can always juice your vegetables. Snacks on a raw food diet can be fruits or vegetables, yogurt, granola or nuts; the good thing about raw food diets is their portability.

You’re almost certain to lose weight with these weight loss diet plans; the average weight loss on a raw food diet is about two pounds a week. Because raw food is high in fiber, nutrients and water you don’t get hungry as quickly as you do when you eat processed foods. This means you’ll eat less!

Fiber gives you a fuller feeling and the vitamins and minerals in the raw food satisfy your system like no processed food can; a raw food diet gives your body the nutrients it craves while helping you lose weight.

A raw food diet include more alkaline foods which also aid in weight loss; all green vegetables are alkalizing, this helps your body absorb more oxygen, raw foods like raw, green leafy vegetables help the body balance and heal itself and lead to weight loss.

On these awesome diet plans you can eat things like banana pancakes, granola, apple avocado mousse and fresh fruit salads; with these healthy diet plans you’re really only limited by your imagination. For snacks you can have juice, cookies and raw milk to name a few. For lunch try gazpacho soup, lettuce wraps and tomato olive salad.

A raw food diet will help you lose weight. These days everyone wants to lose weight, detox their bodies or simply get healthier; wherever you are on your journey to health, you owe it to yourself to try one of these good diet plans. Raw food diets are a refreshing change from other online diet plans.

If you want to lose weight, do it the easy way-don’t stress over complicated menus, just eat raw, organic, alkaline foods. It’s easy to stick to one of these diet plans to lose weight.

The raw can include sushi, goat cheese and dried fruit to name a few. If you want to super charge your system, don’t forget to incorporate the superfoods like wheatgrass and bee pollen in your diet plans.

Bee pollen has more than 96 different nutrients, amazingly that’s every nutrient that you need to live and it’s made up of 40% protein. It’s also a natural energizer, it slows down the aging process, and lowers cholesterol levels, what more could you ask for? Wheatgrass can be a complete meal with protein and at least 30 enzymes; it’s also an excellent source of calcium.

Eating acidic foods like most of the processed foods we find at the grocery store, is what make us fat. We need to eat alkaline foods if we want to get thin. Healthy diet plans will include alkaline foods that will balance our body’s pH.

If at all possible, eat organic because organic foods have a lot more nutrients and up to 50% more antioxidants. Organic foods taste better and aren’t genetically modified. So if you want to lose weight with one of these awesome diet plans, organic is the way to go.

Do you incorporate raw foods into your diet? Could you go on a strictly "raw food diet"?

I probably cannot but I will try to eat more raw stuff. I love raw cucumbers and lettuce. I have a question though, why did you write that cookies can be eaten as snacks? When I read cookies, I thought of the delicious chocolate chip kind.

I have never heard anything about eating bee pollen ever before in my life. What would it do to people with allergies? Just keeping it around would, I think, be quite a problem.
While I agree that processed food is the enemy in general, that does not mean that you can't cook your food. You mentioned cookies and pancakes in this article, both of which I traditionally cook, ya know?

I think the real key here is that, when you eat "raw" foods you're eating more whole grains, fruits and veggies, and healthy proteins. It's not hard to comprehend, really -- less junk, more good stuff and fiber and water.

un processed is always the best. amazing for health and energy. and yes if your overweight weight loss. just stay away from crap it's not freakin hard.

i have alot of raw foods in my diet. fruit, veg, beans, seeds, nuts. i love it but im not a nazi about it and i dont do it for a diet but because i like it. everyone should incorporate more raw foods into their diet. most people eat WAY WAY too much processed foods.

I try to incorporate raw foods into my diet. So far I've got myself to eat more fresh fruit. I also eat more salads with a healthy amount of dressing and other salad items. For lunches I pack only healthy items (oranges, bananas, a sandwich, yogurt, cheese, etc) and only limit to those things. Since I'm so good at avoiding eating out during the week, I'll get so hungry I'll have no choice but to eat the healthy items I packed. And then when I do eat those items, I feel fuller longer and I'm eating smaller meals throughout the day.

i'm a vegan in the process of going raw, but it's not at all about weight loss--raw foods just make me feel better! it's been really easy for me, although i don't know that that's an accurate account for everyone, since i've spent most of my life eating fresh, unadulterated fruits and veggies.

a lot of people think raw (or live) diets mean absolutely no cooking, but that's not necessarily true. most raw diets are based on the principle that foods can be heated, just not above 116 degrees fahrenheit.

@Wait_by_Moonlight@xanga - I've read in different places (one example) that regularly ingesting small amounts of local bee pollen can actually help your body adjust to your local plants and lessen your allergies.

this reminds me of a high volume low cal diet. eating lots of fruits and veggies to keep you full that are low in calories.

  • too_pretty_to_die@xanga

i try to eat more raw foods, but they are too much of a hassle and so expensive.

  • TakingxOverxMe@xanga

I would like to try a raw food diet, but since I'm in college now and my main place to get food is the cafeteria here, it'd be pretty hard to stick to. There aren't a whole lot of options.

  • nrb2233@xanga

@TakingxOverxMe@xanga - I have the same problem... I tend to buy a lot of nuts when I'm trying to eat more raw foods because they are easy to keep around... though the down side is they're high in calories :( Dried fruit works well too, but as for meal food it's pretty difficult.

incorporating raw foods into your diet is important. but relying on them entirely is not smart. every raw vegan that i've met ended up having vitamin deficiencies. and they were extremely well educated about it, saw their doctors regularly etc.

the most important thing is cutting out processed foods and refined sugars. if you eat whole grains, lean proteins, lots of fruits and veggies, and healthy fats, you're bound to lose weight and feel better. eating organic is also important for a number of reasons.

  • OngishLyOngLee@xanga

the raw food diet is equivalent to starving. starving also helps with losing weight.

  • HollowTendencies@xanga

I'm not gonna lie, when you said bee pollen I thought of Baby Mama.

"Want me to get Dr. Gary down hereGive you a shot of bee pollen?"
    I freaking love that movie.

I have done the raw food thing and it really does make you look and feel a whole lot better. The only thing that makes it hard then when you want a more complex mean (pizza), you really have to plan out time to dehydrate and make the food according to the rules of raw eating. If you are a impromptu eater, such as myself, this can be difficult. It was easy for me to just be a vegan. Still, it is very easy to have one meal made up of just fruits and raw nuts or a salad.

Some raw foods are healthy, but some foods are healthier when cooked. It's more important to eat whole foods, not necessarily raw foods. I don't think a raw food diet would be easy to follow either. It would take all the fun out of eating out at restaurants and cooking. I think it's a gimmick and that in the long run, people will not be able to stay on this diet and if they will, they will be severely malnourished from not being able to absorb proper vitamins and minerals.

  • kairi_kawaii@xanga

@calbill - with some types of food (can't name any off the top of my head), the nutrients are lost in the preparation and cooking. For one, with apples and potatoes are healthier with their skins, because that's where the nutrients are. Or at least that's what my mom told me XD

  • Texana@xanga

Due to autoimmune related food allergies, my food choices are limited. Today I made a cucumber, celery, tomato, bell pepper salad for breakfast. It seems odd, but it really hit the spot. Staying away from gluten and dairy is key for me. I'll probably have some protein and rice later.

The bee pollen is good. My ex came to the door with a pound of it for me on our first date. I kept it in freezer and ate a TBSP of it a day. delicious!

direwolf005@xanga was saying that she thought a person on this diet could not stay on it and if they did they would end up being malnourished. i just cant help pointing out how severely backwards this is! it is a common myth that spreads far and fast because it is based in peoples fears of health related problems-which is almost always oxymoron in that people think that eating meat and bread(whole grain or not) and other dense/complex foods is good for their body, and will somehow give the body all it needs-as well as peoples general state of mind with food as an emotionally driven affair. its amazing all the things people will believe/contrive/use as an excuse to eat a certain food they like the taste of. from everything i have read and watched the raw food diet is very likely THE MOST nourishing diet on the planet. another thing i want to say is that there are NO foods that are healthier when cooked. and this is in fact an easy diet and lifstyle.
look these people up- Dan McDonald, Frederic Patenaude, Matt Monarch/Angela Stokes-Monarch, David Wolfe, Natalia Rose(book-the raw food detox diet, one of the best books out there for beginners), Ka Sundance, Natasha St. Michael.
these are the most respected raw food teachers in the whole movement(that i know of currently), by reading what they write and watching their youtube videos you will learn some of the core elements of a true and satisfyingly raw vegan diet, you will see just how much variety there is as well as how food can be the best medicine we have, that many "incurable" diseases can vanish when you eat 'truly natural' food.

Raw foods are crucial to any weight loss program. By assuring your body gets the most out of each vegetable and fruit will assure you a very healthy lifestyle. It really is incredible how many vitamins, minerals, enzyms and nutrients are lost when we cook our food.
