Did Health Reform Change Anything?
Some people feel like the health reform bill did not change very much. Many other people feel like it changed a lot. There are good points as well as bad points. However, it's like that with a lot of things.
Some people feel like this bill was just a big game that the politicians were playing with us. While others feel like they were actually trying to turn the health care system around. Where do you stand? Your opinions are your own and do not let anyone change them but yourself.
So many people try and act like their opinions are what count the most. The truth is that everyone’s opinions count just as much. I can not say that one person’s opinion outweighs the next.
While this health reform bill summary has had a lot of controversy surrounding it, it has had some good times as well as bad. To say that the whole bill has been a lie, I can not honestly say this.
Even though there are a lot of people who disagree with the contents as well as the decision, there are just as many that totally agree. Some of the affects of this bill has been immediate there are more that will take years to go into affect.
Just like with any bill, there are going to be followers as well as runners. I do not believe that anything is going to please everyone. All I can tell you is to go with your heart and research the bill and its contents so that you can make an honest and educated opinion. There are many contents to be explored as well as researched. So after you have researched this bill to the best of your abilities, then maybe you will agree and maybe you will not, depending on how much the bill affects you. Due to the nature of the bill, though, it may take some time before the provisions take effect.
What are your thoughts on the health reform bill? Do you think it's going to effect you that much? Do you support the reform? This post is contributed from Change Your Life Hacks.

Well then. I have never gotten so little out of reading something.
It will be helpful that I can stay on my parent's insurance all through college now, since the college insurance is secondary and more limited. What I find strange is that I have a friend who is wholeheartedly against the heatlh care bill that was passed, despite the fact that it will only help her--she has diabetes and would have had trouble with insurance before. Then again, I don't think she actually knows what the bill contains...
@quasarglow@xanga - Yeah, I know what you mean.
I feel like this was six poorly written paragraphs of "let's all decide that we are right". waste of my time.
I'll just say this. I was about to lose my insurance because I was graduating this past May. I nanny off the books, and a "real" job with benefits is almost impossible to find unless you intern first (and usually that is for free). I was terrified of becoming sick. The new bill has allowed me to stay under my parents health insurance until I'm 25. This is so helpful for me, because there is less pressure while I'm interning and trying to find a job. In the long run this was practically a God send to college grads who can't find a job.
I still don't have any insurance. Sigh.
I still think it takes time to fully implemented..The full effects of the bill aren't going to immediately go into action. It takes time like everything else.
The new bill sucks. I hate it. I also understand it so don't come at me with "you probably don't understand it" crap. I hate Obama though and all the left-wing pansies we have in Congress.
@quasarglow@xanga - took the words right out of my mouth lol.
like a few people have said, i'm happy because i get to go back on my mom's insurance. i haven't seen a doctor in YEARS because i haven't been able to afford it, and i was afraid i'd be diagnosed with something that'd prevent me from getting insurance in the future (i have reason to believe i'm pre-diabetic). this bill saved my life, possibly literally :)
@irishluck20@xanga - sorry you feel that way. maybe you'd feel differently if you actually knew someone who will benefit immensely from this? i know more uninsured people than insured, usually because of unemployment or pre-existing conditions.
If it werent for this new bill I wouldnt be covered under my parents insurance till i turn 26. Now..idk about everyone else but that is awsome. Do you know how expensive health insurance is when your employer isnt paying for it?
I haven't had insurance in 3 years. This bill is going to make it much easier for me to get insurance! It's not perfect, and it will take time. I'm just really glad something is happening, and I will get to go to the doctor!
"So many people try and act like their opinions are what count the most. The truth is that everyone’s opinions count just as much. I can not say that one person’s opinion outweighs the next."
You lost me with this bit of pure idiocy. So, a high-school dropout's thoughts on economics should be taken as seriously as someone who has a post-grad degree in the subject? Bullshit.
I spent the better part of a decade in the Fire Service, and I'd be damned (and probably dead, as well as posthumously sued) if I followed some Joe Lookie-loo's ideas on how to fight fire or extricate a patient from a destroyed vehicle...
I agree with the poster who said this was the least informative post ever. No shit. My opinion is that you suck. Now, try'n change that.
Never before have I seen someone write "People have opinions, yay" with so many words.
This whole post is completely ridiculous. How can xanga editors think it is worthwhile to write so many words with so little substance? I have an opinion on the health care bill, but there were no specific jumping off points given to initiate a good discussion. Here's how you could re-write this entry:
"Health Care Reform Bill, what do you think of it?"
It says exactly the same thing as your 6 ridiculous paragraphs.
