  • Healthkickers! Meet Ms. Jones!

Healthkickers! Please welcome Ms. Jones -- our newest Healthkicker contributor!

You may have already read some of her stuff, too! She's the author of hit posts Wanna Try Running Barefoot? I Did. and Teenagers Score B+ in Sex Ed, but Adults Fail Miserably?!

Because we know that you love her stuff so much, we're positive that you'll want to read all about her in our Healthkicker interview!

Healthkicker: Do you have a favorite exercise or fitness-guru?
Ms. Jones: I have a current obsession with Zumba and will be getting an instructor certification by December!

HK: What are you most interested in about health?
Ms. J: I'm interested in changing the mentality that one has to DIET to be healthy. There's no reason to be in starvation mode to be a healthy, fit person. It's all about balance, and seriously cutting down on things we don't need. We also do not need to do 3 hours of cardio to be in shape.

HK: Would you consider yourself an "expert" on anything?
Ms. J: If you need ANY tips about how to become a vegetarian, or if you need some yummy vegetarian recipes, please ask. I was born and raised a vegetarian by my wonderful parents. Meat-free since before it was socially accepted. I've literally seen it all. I've also been recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, so join me in my journey to learn more about how to maintain a Gluten-Free diet, without skimping on all the yummy desserts!

HK: Anything else you'd like to share about your past health experiences?
Ms. J: As I said above, I struggle with Celiac Disease. I went though so much drama and so many trials to figure this out. I hope to share my stories with you!
