Happy Birthday, X-Rays!
Thanks to the Google Doodle of the day, I learned that it's the birthday/anniversary of x-rays!
Now I have a ton of friends who have never broken a bone in their lives -- which means they've probably never even had an x-ray before. But I, on the other hand, have had several injuries in which x-rays were necessary. In fact, there came a point in my life that the x-ray technicians actually told me that I'd start to GLOW if I had anymore x-rays! (Of course they were kidding, but as a little kid, you believe ridiculous things!)
I've had a lot of x-rays -- about a dozen in my lifetime. I've had x-rays on both ankles, my right knee, both hands (for different fingers), my right arm, my face (for a broken/chipped eye socket) and my mouth (for my wisdom teeth extraction).
I guess you can say that I appreciate x-ray machines (and their technicians) very, very much.
So happy birthday, x-ray machines and x-rays. Without you, I'd likely to be a fragile, fractured and broken mess!
Have you ever had to have an x-ray before? Have you ever broken any bones before?

I've never broken any bones... thankfully I just get sick. Nothing serious.
I'm not sure if this is the same but when I was younger I used to get migraines at least four times a week. My mother got worried and they took an x-ray of my head to see if I had a tumor or something. Besides that and a couple sonograms I haven't had much experience looking inside myself.no broken bones but i taken an x-ray for a sprained ankle cozi thought i've broken my leg lol
@MangoWOW@xanga - X-rays show bones. CAT scans show tissue. :)
My only *X-rays* have been my shunt series'...yearly CAT scans and MRI's though!!
