America may have lost the World Cup against Japan, but they doesn't mean that the US team isn't showing off a few fitness inspirations! As I watched the game that night, I couldn't help but gravitate to the goalie, Hope Solo.
I must have been having some crazy connection with Hope Solo that night, as it turns out she has played soccer for my hometown with Saint Louis Athletica. However, let's get on to the real reason you guys are here: just look at how fit she is!
As an avid soccer player for 7 years, I already know the strength and determination it takes to play the game. Just looking at Hope Solo makes me want to amp up my fitness by starting to play the game again. The 29 year old, Olympic Gold Medal winning goalie even won the 'Golden Glove' in goalkeeping and the 'Bronze Ball' in overall performance for her work in 2011 World Cup. She's even been featured in ads for Nike!
What do you think of Hope Solo as a fitness inspiration? Do you have a favorite player from the women's team?

Man. I'd go lesbian for her. Her body is NICE! Plus that face.... swoooooooon.
She is such a great goalie too. Haha
I'm going to have to say Alex Morgan is my favorite. I've been playing soccer for 18 years, and she's my age. It was my dream to play for them someday, and she definitely achieved it. I think she earned it, too. She worked so hard and she has some real talent for beating a defender. I still play, and will eventually tryout for the All Navy team (when training is over and I get my first duty station) but I don't ever think I'll be as good as I used to be. I love soccer and Alex Morgan makes me wish I'd tried out for team USA when I had the opportunity.
That is an incredible physique, definitely a fitness inspiration. I'd be interested to read her training routine.
I've been hearing a lot about her lately... Is she the new Mia Hamm? :D In any case, she has an amazing body, just like I'd expect a professional athlete to have.
@gilly_owens@xanga - she scored a great goal on Sunday!
@WaitingToShrug@xanga - haha no. I would say that's all Abby Wambach!!! But yeah, Hope Solo she didn't finish too strong on Sunday....
@thinfriendxxo@xanga - I'll try and find some things and make a post on that! I'd love to know as well. :)
@angelaraiford@xanga - she did, didn't she? It looked beautiful.
