Not-So-Healthy: Introducing the McBaguette & other McDonald's Innovations
Starting this September, McDonald's consumers in France will be able to enjoy coffee, pastries and buns at their McCafes. By 2012, McDonald's will be competing with the nations bakeries with the McBaguette (for a much lower price too).
McDonald's has been known to offer different variations of their McDonald's commodities, like the...
Kofta in Pita Bread in the Middle East

McBeer in Europe

McSausage in Asia

McSpaghetti in Europe

Rice Burger in Asia
Have you heard of any of these new McDonald's innovations? Do you think there should be healthier options? Would you try any of these?

McNasty. Let's spread obesity in other countries.... France is getting fat now too I heard.
all sound disgusting! EWWW
I want a McMargarita to be placed on the dollar menu.
that rice burger looks awesome!!!
wow, McBeer. I don't know whether to be excited or revolted
mcdonalds has been selling beer in mainland europe for years. this is not new.
@Toy_Kite@xanga - it's just regular beer. there's nothing special about it. it's just in mcdonalds cups, lol.
I don't even think the rice burger would be much healthier... what's the point?
I want a McBeer! Or any beer really ....
@written_conversations@xanga - i don't think she was saying it was new (just the mcbaguette was new)
i want to try the rice burger and the mcarabia, lol
McArabia, how I miss thee.
That McSausage looks distinctly German, how interesting that it's in Asia.
@WaitingToShrug@xanga -
For some reason Hot Dogs/ Sausages are pretty popular in Asian countries, I always found that so weird.
heh, mcsausage :P
@shes_lump@xanga - Then dont eat it?....... I hate how people freak out over McDonalds.. Just dont eat it then! You cant control other people, but control yourself?
@Digital_Angel21@xanga - Haha, wish I tried it. It looks good.

I don't think there need to be healthier options. If people want healthy, they should go somewhere else, lol.
Heard about some of them. But no, I don't think they need to offer healthier options. In the grand scheme of life, there are healthier options than eating at McDonalds.
@babybug329@xanga - I understand the whole "don't eat it if it isn't healthy" concept, but if McDonald's is the most popular fast food chain in the world, why not offer healthier items for people to grab a quick lunch? If they can create foods like this for around the world, why not bring healthier items into the equation? It'd make my life a hell of a lot easier XD
@hoodsy@xanga - yes that's what I meant, thanks for the clarification
!
Actually, mcdonalds will be offering healthier options this year-- a post on it is on healthkicker :) you can find it here. http://www.healthkicker.com/753699384/mcdonalds-to-make-happy-meals-less-unhealthy/

HAHAHA McSausage.

I liked the classic mcdonalds. Burgers and fries. I hate how mcdonalds is trying to be a cafe.
