Are You a Picky Eater? Anderson Cooper's First Time Eating Spinach, Sprouts, and Coffee
In this show of Anderson's Food Intervention, Anderson shares the relationship we have with food: why we eat, why we have eating disorders, and how he has a special relationship with food: he's avoided spinach, brussel sprouts, and coffee all his life.
But I know for a fact that he's not the only one. I've met a lot of people who haven't tried anything outside of potatoes and pasta. Or people who vehemently avoid carrots. Being a picky eater probably doesn't make you nutritionally deficient because there are so many other foods out there with the same vitamins and essential nutrients. But it's interesting to see so many different diets of people.
I'm generally not a picky eater when it comes to vegetables, maybe except bok choy and cauliflowers.
What do you think? What foods do you stay away from?

LOVE me some andy-coops. i dunno how he's gone this long without coffee... that seems so... strange?
most meats make me nervous. probably has something to do with why i'm veg.
I stay away from onions. They do mean things to my insides.
My boyfriend won't eat anything green. Or anything considered a vegetable for that matter. And he thinks fruits are disgusting too. He's so picky when it comes to veggies. He won't even eat chunky pasta sauces. Makes it hard for me to cook for us as a couple, since I'm a vegetarian!!! Maybe I can convince him to try veggies now that the Silver Fox has...
doesn't surprise me. anderson cooper is a stuck up, conceited a-hole. Picky eaters generally have that same sort of personality.
However, there are some things I refuse to put in my mouth. Mostly unnatural things we shouldn't be putting in our mouths anyway like mayonnaise, ranch dressing, sour cream, or anything "cream filled" (like twinkies, long johns, etc.)
I eat every single vegetable and fruit pretty much though (unless it's something I haven't tried, and if so then I'd like to try it first). Oh scratch that... I'm not a fan of raw broccoli or raddicchio lettuce. And radishes are also kinda weird, but I still eat them in a salad.
i don't like most abnormal veggies (squashes, cauliflower, sprouts, etc).
The thing that disturbed me the most about that episode was the woman in the pink shirt who ONLY ate french fries and hash browns.
I LOVE COFFEE.
I avoid junky processed "food" most of the time because it's not actually food. Not sure why most people don't seem to understand that.
There is definitely so many picky eaters out there. They just drive me crazy so much. They just need to step up and try some different food out there.
