  • Warning: Kotex Tampons for Recall for Contamination!

Make sure  you read before you purchase that tampon: Kotex has recently recalled about 1,400 of their tampons for bacterial contamination!

The FDA recalled the tampons because they were contaminated with Enterobacter sakazakii-- known to cause vaginal infections, UTI, pelvic inflammatory diseases, and other health risks. Because of this, 1,400 cases of tampons distributed to Arizona, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Texas and Utah were recalled.

"Any consumer who used [the product] and experienced unusual discharge, rash, fever, headache, vomiting or abdominal pain" is asked to contact the doctor ASAP. Consumers are also advised to call Kimberly-Clark's consumer services department.

Have you used these products before? What do you do when you hear about products you use being recalled?
