Quote of the Day! ...from Model Cindy Crawford
Hi, my HK'ers!
What do you think of this quote?
"If the kids want to go for ice cream, I'll get ice cream, too. I don't want my daughter to think that being a beautiful woman is about depriving yourself. She sees me exercising. She sees me eating right. I want to be a good example for her."
What do you think about Cindy's point of view? Is this a positive way to raise children - especially daughters?

Yes. It's absolutely a positive way to raise children! Way to go, Cindy!
Heck yes. I agree with this wholeheartedly.
Absolutely! Children pick up on things more than we think they do. Before I beat my eating disorder, my nephew who was my son's age and younger at the time noticed I never ate anything EVER. He would try to force his chicken nuggets in my mouth and ask if I was sick. When my son was born, I promised to never do that to any of my children. I didn't want to be a do as I say not as I do kind of parent.
ditto!
cindy crawford was also valedictorian of her high school graduating class. beautiful, smart, AND classy!
She's always been about living healthy and being a good role model, from what I can remember at least. Either way sounds like a good celeb mom.
good for her!
Yes! I agree! Great quote :)
All these models say shit about "I like to eat healthy" or "I just eat what I want to", but I don't think she's actually doing it, she's just figured out what we want to hear.
@the_peach_assailant@xanga - Why do you think that? I think most people who are fit eat really healthily. People don't get good bodies by starving themselves, and she's not scrawny.
