A lot of people ask my how I get my servings of fruit and vegetables every day. With all the other food they're eating, adding more servings seems intimidating and at times inconvenient. Well, I have found a solution! Of course, it comes in liquid form.
For my serving of fruit, I choose mixed berries because of their antioxidant and other health properties. I will blend a package of frozen berries with some apple juice, and store it in a container for later. Then, once a day I can have a serving of fruit with some nonfat yogurt and granola! Simple!
As for vegetables, I rely upon V8. V8 provides many vegetables in a simple juice that is easy to consume. Other vegetable juices (or homemade) work well too. I also stir fry a mixed variety of frozen vegetables for dinner.
How do you get your servings of fruit and vegetables?

Orally.
I go to the supermarket every few days and invest in fresh fruit and veggies - strawberries, kiwi, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, and cuties are some of my favorite. I cut everything up and put it into single-serving containers, and then take them with me to school. Raw veggies are a great brainfood for me, and fruit gives me a boost. Keeping fresh fruit and veggies available for snacking throughout the day is a great way to get your 5 a day, as well as avoid the vending machines!
May
breakfast. lunch. dinner. after workout drinks :) LOVEEE THEM! <3
yeah...I don't think you are supposed to get all your fruits and veggies in juice form. I eat raw fruits and veggies almost everyday. Sometimes it might just be a banana or some baby carrots. Other days I am eating fruit for breakfast, veggies and dip for lunch, and leafy salad for dinner. I don't drink fruit juice as much anymore, but sometimes fruit juice is also part of "fruits" of the day.
i eat them raw or, in the case of vegetables, sometimes steamed. little single-serving bags of microwaveable veggies simplify my life. i aim for 4 servings of fruit and 4 servings of vegetables daily. i usually hit my target.
@Grtt@xanga - damn you beat me to it!
I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. If you aren't eating them because you want to eat more servings of something else, you're probably eating too much of the wrong things.
@Grtt@xanga - That's so deviant.
OP: I drink a green smoothie every morning, and eat at least two cups of veggies with every meal. Usually it involves piling cooked meat and vegetables on a bed of mixed greens, with some kind of fat/homemade sauce. Extremely easy, filling, and delicious. Bonus: No grains, sugar, dairy or legumes needed. (Paleo meal.)
i use my steamer a lot..... we don't own a microwave.. steamed peaches and pears with a little home made ice cream is sooooooooooooooooo yummy
but i much prefer veggies and fruit locally grown and or from the farmer's market. Last summer i figured out how to hide all sorts of veggies in a wicked potato salad that my son will eat by the bowlful. And he has no idea that its half cauliflour, and has 2 different types of cabbage, and a bunch of other stuff (including spinach, carrots, onions, leek, and radishes) in it.I'm a vegetarian, what else am I supposed to be eating? I do find it more difficult if I'm bad for a meal or two. Getting 3 or more servings into a single meal is..tedious and cellulose..y. Eating a serving of each with each meal, there ya go. Also the sodium in V8, Jeez.
in almost any form! my meals consist mainly of veggies and fruits
I get them at the grocery store! LOL... I usually put spinach on my plate and then put my dinner on it!! So I get like 5 cups by doing that! Then I also get in LOTS of spaghetti squash, butternut squash, green beans, nori sheets on a daily basis with other veggies mixed in! :)

It's the crunch I crave when it comes to snacking, so eating raw veggies works for me especially with some ranch dip. Carrots, peppers, celery, brocoli, all good with dip!
For my fruits you can do all kinds of things! Smoothies, mixed chopped fruits as a side to any breakfast or lunch, in your pancakes dude. It's all good.
I eat it.
Huge salads with lunch/dinner. I'm still working on the fruit thing... I don't eat enough of them.
