How come this is a word-for-word copy of this site and yet there's no mention of it? Is the xangan the same as the author of the post in that aforementioned site or not? Something to keep in mind, Healthkicker.
organic foods are such a joke.
i eat blueberries. check. Almonds: check.
broccoli: check.
flaxseed. not regularly but on occasion.
Oats: check. oatmeal - check. you can add it to meatloaf/hamburgers, use as breading, in cookies, etc:
Kidney Beans: check. not daily. but you can add it smashed up to sandwiches, in salads, chili, etc. really helps regulate blood sugar somehow.
Organic Milk: when we can -- check. though more expensive. also organic/cage free eggs.
Quinoa: i should but don't.
Apples: yes.
Sweet Potatoes: no. can't stomach it. i eat mangoes and carrot juice, variety of vegetables and fruits, nuts.
my favorite from list would be the apples and blueberries. i would add organic strawberries, blackberries, cherries, grapes, strawberries or cranberries. cranberry juice with pear or other natural juice (without sugar or fructose syrup) help with urinary tract and immune system.
i would add organic carrots, dark chocolate (small amounts), spinach or kale, avocados, olive oil, walnuts (brain food) and fish and/or fish oil to the list. fish - good for the brain, great for circulatory system.
also whole grain breads, brown rice, non - low gluten foods.
* and, if you are going to have something sweet, let it be the real thing. real cream, real sugar - no substitutes.
@nov_way@xanga - thanks for that heads up. i think credit should be given to original author if so.
@YouToMe@xanga - And thank you for the couple tips regarding oats/oatmeal and kidney-beans. I recommend Dates
i love alllll of these foods except blueberries(it's a texture thing haha) and they are all part of my diet! good to know i'm eating the best organic foods out there! :)
ugh, that picture is awful. They need to work that wall. (Sorry, that's my job, in produce :p)
@TheMANinTHEyellowHAT@xanga - ...no, not really.. Please, inform of the reasons why organic food is a joke?
@FaceY0urFear@xanga - i guess if you like to triple your grocery bill for little benefit beyond a false sense that it's making you a better person than everyone around you, then organic food is a dream come true. but in all reality, the benefits of the above foods have nothing to do with whether or not they're "organic". now that i think about it, i'm sure they just added the word in there because they knew it would draw readers like moths to a flame.
@TheMANinTHEyellowHAT@xanga - I work in a organic store, and the organic food is a lot more healthier for you..than conventional. Not only do they not have pesticides and other harsh chemicals, they last longer and they taste a lot better. Organic food is really NOT that expensive, only people who have never actually compared prices and quality say that they are. When I first started working at my store I thought the same thing, but over two years of working here, I started to realize it really wasn't that expensive, because you are getting more for you buck. But if you really feel like it's more expensive, go to your local farmers market and you can get organic products that are USDA certified for incredibly cheap. But you know, it's cool if you try to convince people with uneducated opinions that organic is a joke.
@TheMANinTHEyellowHAT@xanga - Also, its expensive because a lot of organic produce comes from local farms. It cost more to make organic food, and the labor is harder. It's a lot easier to not be organic, than it is to be organic.
@FaceY0urFear@xanga - i'm fully aware of why organic foods are more expensive. but they're really not much "more healthier" for you. at least not as far as nutrient content goes. the chemical aspect is still up in the air from what i've been able to find. but, for the record, organic farmers do use chemicals and pesticides. just not synthetic pesticides, which, at this point, have not been shown to be any more harmful than the natural ones. same goes for hormones, before you try to pull that card.
a lot (more so, in fact) of organic foods also come from giant corporations and are imported from places like chile and china. hell, the biggest independent distributor of organic foods in the U.S. is fucking wal-mart.
I like the ideas in this post but it needs some serious EDITING! Healthkicker, Y U NO EDIT?!
