  • 3 Healthy Waffle Makeovers

    One of my favorite breakfast items are waffles.  I especially like to order them whenever I meet friends for brunch because they feel like such a treat.  Waffles can pack on a lot of calories and I decided to create some easy, quick, healthy combinations of my own. 

    1. Blueberry and Cool Whip Waffles:

    • 2 frozen Van's blueberry waffles
    • 2 tablespoons of Cool Whip 
    • 1 teaspoon of 100% pure maple syrup

    2. Nutella Belgian Waffles:

    • 2 Frozen Van's Belgian waffles
    • 1 tablespoon of Nutella (you have to be careful with Nutella, it has a lot of calories - sometimes I use Peanut Butter & Co's Dark Chocolate Dreams in place)
    • 1 teaspoon of 100% pure maple syrup
    • If I want extra, sometimes I'll had a dollop of Redi Whip Chocolate Whipped Cream

    3. Smoked Salmon, Avocado and Cream Cheese Waffle Sandwich:

    • 2 Frozen whole wheat Eggo waffles
    • 1 tablespoon of cream cheese
    • 1/4 avocado sliced
    • 2 slices of smoked salmon
