  • Brainwashing Kids Into Unhealthy Diets With Catchy Tunes

      Mr. Cheeseburger

Yesterday while browsing through YouTube for some quick workout videos, I came across a video that quickly reminded me of my childhood and possibly a reason why obesity runs rampant among children.  While watching the clip, I was glad my parents limited my fast food intake and always pushed me to go out and play sports.

That clown was brainwashing kids into believing McDonald's was fun and cool, so "let's play and eat there".  It had a catchy tune to keep kids entertained while feeding them all the high in fat, greasy food that came in kid's meals. Video is Here...
  • Non-FDA Approved Supplements Have Side Effects But Get the Job Done

    Mr. Fish

For over a year now, I've been taking a weight-training supplement called N.O. Xplode.  I can definitely tell a difference when I work out; I have more energy and can lift heavier weights.

The problem is that most supplements, including N.O. Xplode have not been FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved, so there's a chance I'm hurting myself more in the long run.  Whenever I take it I have to work out because I have so much pent-up energy, and I can feel my blood pumping.

There have been some side effects though.  Read More Here...
  • When Caffeine and Soda isn't Enough, Take Adderall?

Last semester, I fell into the "last-minute scholarly" ambition category, I was sleep-deprived for three straight days and somehow managed to tap out four 12-15-page papers, finish a chemistry exam, and ace a Latin test.  When my mom found me on the last day of school, I was a numb, rambling fool.

Thankfully, I have altered my ways so that all-nighters never pile on top of one another.  However, I can't help but worry about my peers out there who are drowning in coursework. Exams, term papers, thesis’, and portfolios induce unnecessary panic attacks.  And in an effort to take a stab at a glittering grade, students trade in sleep for more time to complete their final projects.

Unfortunately, many students do not rely on sheer willpower and crazy amounts of dark coffee (or copious amounts of Dr.Pepper in my case) to get the job done.  More Here...
  • Diet, Weight Loss and Thin is In but When Will Happiness Catch Up?

    Mr. Marshmallow

I have been thin and I have been happy, but to quote the inimitable Harvey Fierstein, never the twain have met. At my thinnest, when I was wearing my sassy size 32 jeans, I was a hot little number. I would go clubbing for hours, several days a week, with my "hag" Jennie right there beside me.

I made my way through Los Angeles then San Francisco, and became addicted to the attention my newly sculpted physique afforded me. I was thin and I was happy. At least that's what I told myself. Read More Here...
